WJM Posted January 10, 2004 Share Posted January 10, 2004 i dont know if its true or not...but newer seems to be better. and the SPFI manifold works as well. I think, that since its for the EA82, it does flow better, since the EA82 has more output than the EA81. But Ive not done the mod, I remember a long tiem ago when it was heavly discussed. its archived somewhere. YOu might want to check out the search feture for more info if someone else doesnt chime in. archemitis Posted January 11, 2004 Share Posted January 11, 2004 the carb mounting part is smaller on the ea81 for sure. so that alone is better, also looking at mine, the ea82 is larger than the ea81. so i would say yes. it will flow better but you gotta run the ea82 carb too.
