i replaced the alternator on my loyale, for some reason the new one isn't really putting out much of a charge maybe 13 is this normal??

Well... Maybe your old one was Delivering more Voltage than Normal... Try to Measure with a Tester the Total Amount of Voltage when the Car have the Headlamps On, and the Engine is Around 1,500 RPM`s ... if it still says 13, then it is Normal... if it Lowers Below 12V, it is Bad.

the 13 was on a volt meter.

the alt will only put out max volts above 2K rpms, so bring it up to about 2200rpms and check it again, should show 14.4 if its good.
