Knock knock knockin on Billy C's door?

Recommended Posts

I feel this should be posted here but if you guys feel you need to move it then I'll live with that.

What's the general consensus here about Billy C and the teaser of the year award?

Some of you guys have even sent money and gotten zippo.I'm not that unfortunate but it's winter time and I was really hoping to get some stuff happening towards my '78 resto.

What to do?I've emailed(not lately though)and gotten no response. Is anyone close to him in proximity or relation?

Justin??Anyone in GA??

Rather than list our complaints let's concentrate on a solution.Group purchase and relieve him of the weight it's cast on him and his newlywed?...not so newly anymore.

Billy if you see this you have to know we don't want to sit here and rag on you buddy.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Billy sent me my stuff w/o any probs. He even threw in a "God Bless America" poster which is still hangin in my garage.

There's got to be something more going on here. I just don't think he's intentionally trying to screw anyone.

It's never too late to make things right, and if you are reading this Billy, it's time.

Rob,if things work out and we contact him I tend to doubt he'll deny that you sent money.I think just the opposite, that he needs his tree shaken and then we'll get the fruit.

I will personally take care of your stuff if this ever happens and you won't pay me a dime. We'll hack it out of the total lot purchacse and get it all at a few cents on the dollar just like he did.I know you've helped me bigtime when I needed that gas filler throat. No sweat returning the favor....Billy,give us a chance dag nabbit.

Just remember that he promised me all the decals so that I could maintain a file of masters to get them replicated. If there are any duplicates, I'd make them available for immediate sale. With the funds going back to the board (or the pool of contributors for the buy out).

Well, another board member found Billy alive and well in the SVX message board hosted by this same board host.

Billy,I expect you'll be reading this before emailing or posting here.As you can see there's no mud slinging here.Just some folks who want to be even or get some of that stock you dangeld in our faces.

You had some manuals for me and a heap of 70's parts.

Speak to me Billy, speak to me boy!!!!

OK Billy,I hear the sound of mud in the distance....getting closer....closer.....some folks I've talked to have mentioned stuff that I'd rather not set flame to right now.

Just say something. You forgot, you've been sick, you got extremely lazy....something please.I posted this to try to make things right for all.But from the emails and conversations I've had it's beging to get "muddy" around here.

Now now boys!!!.......keep nicey for a few minutes here.Just posted on his thread in the SVX wanted forum..... http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=177366#post177366

Billy, come on brother.Things are going great for you.Baby coming.Obviously if you can swing the cars you have and buy an old dealer's stock, even at cents on the dollar, you're doing OK.Make some folks happy by dumping that load of old stock.

You started this board and man it's your duty to at least keep contact with the folks you were involved with on this stuff.Dude,I've gotten into some conversations that have tossed some serious "charges(?)" your way. We've all taken some time to fulfill an order.Heck,I've got one (Witte) that I owe the guy for over a year now I think. But I contact him every so often and I'm busting my butt to get his and a few other's stuff out ASAP because I just can't stand it anymore either.

If you need help with this stuff I think it's possible for at least one of us to get to your place and work with you some weekend.I'll even try.Might need to bring my 6yr old son but I could concievably do a weekend.

Really looking forward to any reply.

Hello.

Im not dead, Im alive. Im not hiding, Im here. I bring no harm, and I would like to deliver once again another apology. However, this time, I bring more than the simple "sorry".

I would like to use the post as a formal invintation. Shawn, Moosens, Brian... anyone... I need someone's help. I've got roughly 15 boxes here. (a van or full size truck full)

I've got books, parts, stickers, etc.

Paul (Moosens) as already offered to help me sort these out and sell them, which is great, and would be very helpful, but, I feel it's out of line. I feel as if I owe the USMB more. I was here from day one and loved it since the day I created it, but, as I left during my teen years, and then didnt ship off products to some people,, It's become a huge gray area in my life IM not proud of. My intent is to never screw anyone... so Im here.

Now, Im not going to list everything that's been going on in my life, Im sure people are sick of hearing that. If you would like to know, email me personally and I WILL get back to you.

HERES MY PROPOSTITIONS.

1.) Let's arrange a subaru-get together here, my house. I've got 5 Subarus that we can all part out/fix/do whatever with. We will go through these parts, and distribute accordingly. We will grill hamburgers, whatever. I've got a good strip of land out in the country, no problems...

2.) Someone come down here, pick up all these parts, and take them with them... sort em, and sell them.

NOW, THE ONLY CATCH.

I want ALL the money from parts, and/or Subarus that are dismantled to go to the USMB ONLY.

Im willing to donate what's here of these parts, and 4 or 5 COMPLETE Subarus to the USMB as an effort to show my apologies. All I ask, is that the apology is accepted.

Also, the parts that were promised out, including a Cargo cover to Mike, the Vinyl decals to Corky, and anyone (?) else. These guys have been more than patient and I think they actually deserve more from me than I could possibly ever give. Im sorry guys.

My lunch break is ending... must go. I feel alot better all of the sudden... the dark area is beginning to put a smile on my face once again.. things can be great,, things will be great.

So.... what's it gonna be fellas, a meet, or a simple part sale for the USMB?

Sincerely,

Billy.

do i hear massive subaru meet/campout/get the parts ya need this summer?

i have a list of things that i need.. that you prolly have.. i have plenty of room at my place to sort/sell/ship stuff out.. if only the stash was here.. i'd deffinitely donate my time for this benefit to all..

am bettin i could convince scrapdaddytatum to make a haul with me to come get the stuff to sort/sell, etc.. if not there is a loading dock here where i work... crate it up, have it trucked here for little to nothing.. your shipping expense reimbursed from the sale of stuff, and the rest goes to the usmb..

this is something that we could do..

just noticed i hit 1001 posts, woohoo. lol :D

Thats quite an idea Billy.

Would you be willing to ship the 15 boxes to Iowa? I have most of the parts manuals, and Mick is only 2 hours away and could probably help me with cataloging the items and trying to determine what models they go to.

I am pretty fast to ship stuff and would definately make sure the proceeds go to the board.

I think you should have a get together down there to part the cars out if there is enough interest in the parts. Start by snapping pics of their current look and what options the car has and then we can work on finding a volunteer down that way to come up to your place and help part out the cars and ship the desired parts. Really ought to sell the NOS parts before parting out the car though, people are more apt to want new stuff than used if its available.

Well first I want to thank Billy for making this effort. It shows he's got more integrity than a lot of other folks in this world.

I can't help but wonder, was there or is there a pile of stuff from the 70's and a few manuals that I had claim on?If so I'd really like a shot at them first,as I had committed to getting them.OK Selfish reasons aside....

I offered to help and I'm still willing. It'll be a tough weekend of travel and I'll surely either take my son,the family,or have to hear some squawking from the old lady and maybe her divorce lawyer too.....:( but I really think I can do this.As a decent family man will have to do,I'll need to make sure the household won't be distupted or lacking during my asbsence.

I'm thinking a wicked mega coffee redeye run on a Friday night.Get into GA around Saturday AM.(I'll have another driver too somehow...a friend or a board member).

As for what to do about it well that's a tough one, sort of.I can surely help on that weekend by getting most or all of the parts tagged so we all know what they are for.I suppose if we have a list of who's spoken for which parts already I can handle the shipping.I know what you're thinking and if you know me you know that right now I'm blowing out all the FEW items left for people. And I'm in the process of clearing out my workshop.

I'm not going to attempt this and have you guys all upset all over again. This is a serious endeavor.I'm doing a resto and am always involved with older Subarus so you know how much this means to me.I also know that you feel the same way.

As for waiting untill Summer...well,to me winter time is the time to get to these resto projects.I'm itching to have my '78 looking like it deserves to be at Carlisle in May....but at least we have Billy here and I'm sure that sometime within this year, hopefully by summer or well before winter,we'll all be much happier about this.

OK,you guys speak up and let me know what you think...if someone else can meet up that's all the better.I'm in no way trying to wedge anyone out or snag items beforehand.Infact,I'd appreciate it if we all showed old emails, etc that indicated what items we were committed to.That way some guy on the west coast doen't think old Moosens cut him off,etc,etc....

That was my main thought.Sort the "want list" now before anyone gets their hands on it to avoid arguements.

Mick is up for it if you want to ship half the boxes to him and half to me. (or you can ship all of it to 1 address and one of us can get the stuff from the other pretty easy too)

He's got the MS Access brains so we can catalog stuff.

Billy. Its good hearing from you again. I am willing to travel to GA to get my hands on some of your fleet. I just aquired another subaru... this one is a Gen1, '78 Wagon. It needs to be restored, and im sure there's some parts in those box's I could use.

Time frame... thats never a easy thing to figure out.

I elect Shawn and Mick to handle the distrobution of the Box's. Not only are they the most reliable to do such a thing, but they are also the 2 admin's, and they will make sure the proceeds goto better the USMB. A proposal like this is just the thing the USMB needs to get on its feet and to become a real, well known non-profit org.

Anything I can do to help, I will... just let me know.

-Brian
