My calculations show a 225/50 16 will be almost the same rolling dia. as the factory 205/55 16
Has anyone had any major rubbing issues with this increased size

what offset? stock subie rims?
225 may be pushing it a tad too much. 215 would probably work fine. You may want to ask on nasioc since there's a ton more imprezas over there.

Thanks for the reply Josh, the rims are a set I got from Teagues, I believe they are factory offset

The 215s were coming up short.

My guess is that it will work. My 03 wagon has 225's on it (non factory rims though) and they fit fine at stock ridehight. Since the bugeye wagon and GC8 share suspension specs....
