Will throw that in the vault for next time. Got the bolt off after sawing it but what a PITA.

Considering the shock slide tube doesn't go all the way in to the canister when compressed, you can grind or saw down a little near the top to get a better grip on it and it'll still be usable.

Rain-x'ed the glass ... have any of you tried that rain-x anti-fog stuff?
Yes, I used RainX on my Wife's car Windshield, years ago, the A/C wasn't workin' and it Helped to keep it Clear on Rainy season.

But there's too much into the car to let it die now.

While I was there I also fixed the rattling with a new nylon "cup" at the lower pivot.

I also swapped the rounded style shift knob from my 81 wagon. I am amazed at how much shorter the shifter feels, and its nice and tight too.

I fixed the sloppy shifter on my 4 speed using GDs method with a 3/8"x16 tap.
Nice idea! Was there a trick to getting the original pin out? I've been wrestling with mine forever.

Alt/PS one exploded sometime on the highway while driving home from work. Noticed it when I went to make a right turn sans power steering.
Could not tell that the alt and brake light were on due to the sun shining on the gauges.

Taking off wasn't to much of an ordeal, but trying to apply any throttle was something different. It'd spin the tires very easily.
About 3" of snow on the roads, greasy stuff it were.
