  1. Just from reading old posts about this my guess is you have to swap the camshaft sprocket and/or that crankshaft sprocket/sensor. More knowledgeable members will pinpoint the problem/solution.

  2. Left Cam and Crank Sprockets are a matched set. Small trigger teeth on the Crank had more triggers on the cam.

  3. My silver RX turbo. Gone back to EA82T, wolf3d ecu, distributor delete (wasted spark coil pack) and an intercooler of some sort. Ive also swapped some bits between gearboxes to run EJ dual range gearset with viscous centre diff in the EA casing Once I get it driving I will do a better flowing up-pipe, TD04 and cam regrind to make it a bit more rev happy

  4. As John said - you need the cam and crank gears from your original engine. They'll have different marks on them for the timing of spark and ignition. Swap over and set the cam belt timing correctly should see it fire up. Another thing to check first is all of your plug connections ensuring the cam and crank angle sensors are properly connected (and sensors mounted properly). Cheers Bennie

  5. Pretty much when the roads no longer have traces of white 99% of it is gone. The worst thing is that now everyone is going away from salt spreaders and spraying a brine solution before the snow starts. It's bad enough to drive over the white road, but get behind the brine truck with wet brine on the road and it coats the undercarriage far worse than the old style salt ever did. They are even using the brine here in east TN. My little brother drives his truck out in the sand at the beach when he goes fishing and his old truck had holes in the frame. He traded it in and got a new one. Now he has 2 lawn sprinklers that he drives over to wash it out each time. We'll see in a few years how well that works.

  7. Little update Painted the intake and valve covers with a little inspiration from sti Wrinkle Red Intake by Luke Hoffman, on Flickr Wrinkle Red Valve Covers by Luke Hoffman, on Flickr Finally finished painting the pugs as well, color is oil rubbed bronze but it looks more of a gunmetal grey in person Bronze Pugs by Luke Hoffman, on Flickr The engine is ready to be reassembled as soon as my bearings, pistons, and gasket set arrive. I've been working on rebuilding the carburetors and am almost completely done with one but have yet to dig into the other one in case I need to use it as a reference.
