  1. HIDs are not designed for any particular style lamp. The geometry of the lamp's reflectors and lenses are what dictate what is compatible. For example the 04-05 WRX has halogen headlamps while the same body style STI uses HIDs. Put both lamps side-by-side and look at the geometry of the guts inside the lamp. Similar, but different, because of the way each different style of bulb (Halogen/LED/HID) produces light.

  5. Your axle is installed 180* off, I use the same tool on EAs and EJs, it should NOT be getting stuck in ANY, if the axle is properly aligned.

  6. Find a drift pin the appropriate diameter, and long enough to drive it out. That would work on 80's axles, not sure on yours.

  7. Sweet find mate! A very rare sight over this way! Try blowing compressed air back through the fuel lines. Then if you have time, pull the fuel tank out and give it a good flush. It could be a good idea to service the carb and blow out any crap that would most likely be in there after all those years of allowing the fuel bowl to go dry multiple times. Also replace all rubber fuel lines Cheers Bennie

  8. Bad connection at the headlight connector? Moisture inside the housing? Just a couple of thoughts.

  9. The Original compressors are getting pretty tired. though they can be resealed...but if the walls of the cyl are scoured it's done for. The five way drier/splitter is the part that's hardest to retrofit. I've got piles of that crap. Anyone who want's my stash of Compressors, Relays, Air struts, Computers, and lines can have it ALL if they come get it.

  10. Good morning Guys. Thanks for the messages, very informative and inspirational. Im just looking to make my XT as original as possible. It’s what I do as my hobby, tho normally on Alfa Romeo’s. I’m seriously thinking about custom struts but using the original compressor and other such hardware. I’m sure it will work... it’s only air and pressures id also only want to copy original lift positions. I don’t need it lowering.. or should I? Can anybody out there tell me correct height range of the stock car . maximum, minimum and normal car heights. Properly inflated tyres, from ground to top of wheelarch, front and rear. All this help is making thiis Welsh man very happy. thanks.
