Yeah, so do my 88 GL-10 seats... so does the WRX seats, the problem is that they adjust UP more than they do down. What I mean is if you are 6'2" or taller you are hosed even with the seats at their lowest setting. It is almost like the M.E. that designed them was 5'7" or something...

Since I also am 6'5, I put in some 2003 WRX seats hoping to quit losing scalp on my sunroof(damned air suspension) but while these seats kick butt, they ended up actually being a hair taller than my GL-10 seats! The front mounts are bolt in, the rear mounts you have to fabricate ... It will be dropped about 1" in the front and 2" in the rear in the next couple of weeks when I have time to move the ecu and I will take some photos..

I just found a XT-6 in the wrecking yard I live at today, along with 4 more turbo EA-82's. Pretty stoked! My car is an 1988 turbo sedan with a 4 speed automatic full time 4 wheel drive. The XT-6 is also full time 4 wheel drive but is a 5 speed. I have read on this board that I can swap the suspension from the XT onto mine and gain 5 lug flexibility, is there any other benefits? Stiffer struts? lower? I have access to a set of '1992 Turbo Legacy brakes and suspension, besides it having vented rears and two piston front calipers(this legacy setup will cost me 400.00 and I haven't sealed the deal yet) What about the tranny? Is it strong? Is it as strong as a legacy turbo tranny? I think it would be a more direct swap than the legacy... any input (I swear) is wanted. Sam

Thanks man! But for the record there is no "Boosting" of the fuel pump... it will be doing it's every day ho-hum job... we will just be taking better advantage of this work it has been doing... it looks like a number of this boards regulars are already aware of what i speak of and are taking advantage of it... some are not. I will do my best to give the correct information so any mods people make in the future will be somewhat educated guesses.

I will post bio of the car and some pics of it and the mods I have made in the next couple of days as well as the future stuff for it.

78Turbobrat, this would kind of fall under the same tone of response I gave to Caleb earlier... The stock Suburu pump will flow more fuel and build more pressure than what it is currently doing. At the level (boost wise) I am at, I don't need an exotic or p.i.t.a. setup, the stock stuff will work fine, if I convince it to do the extra work. My initial post was for someone who actually had already done this, so I could be lazy and use HIS(or hers) wheel. I wasn't debating the feasibilty of this modification, as I KNOW it can be done. I do appreciate what you and everyoneelse has to say. I will be hooking up a FPR and fuel pressure guage with an air/fuel ratio meter in the next week and I will let everyone know the results of the small changes you can make to our stock parts and the results that are obtained. Caleb, yeah I know what you mean, I wasn't real excited about dinking with it on a Sunday afternoon... when I was using it to get to and from work, but my other car is back, so Electryc_monk, you tell me which way you turn it and how much and I'll go the other way! Rich is GOOD!
