  1. Good call. Additionally if you have a gmail account, Picasa will host them on the web for you.
  2. heh. My screen resolution is 1680x1050. Anyway, yeah I love the windows image resizer. I also love imageshack because it will generate a thumbnail and split out the vbcode if you want to paste larger than 800x600 or a lot of images. Also, on the subject of hotlinking i.e. image leeching. DON'T DO IT. Move pictures to your own hosting or an online service. Otherwise you're costing other people money. I usually have a .htaccess setup so my stuff can only be linked to on a few different sites. Otherwise a nasty replacement could show up.
  3. racecomp engineering and turn in concepts should both be able to get them. It's like $15 a pair. My front swaybar and endlinks do get fairly clunky and need to be greased every few months. jclay- I have the links in front of me, they seem to be in good shape. I'll have them shipped tomorrow. Few details on the install: torque to about 32 lb-ft, with the car on the ground/ramps, and but some blue loctite on the threads. That will keep them from clunking or coming loose. A bit of grease or anti-seize between the bolt and bushing sleeve would be good too.
  4. They're whiteline polyurethane bushings, hence the need for the grease. Combined with the endlinks it make a HUGE difference. Whiteline's part numbering system is this: W0404-[mm] - 1st gen Impreza and Legacy front W0405-[mm] - 2nd+ gen Impreza and Legacy front W0404-[mm] - 90-99 Legacy, pre-04 Impreza rear W0406-[mm] - 04-07 Impreza rear Not sure what 00+ Legacies use for rear bushings.
  5. oh yeah well I have pictures too. And my bushings are prettier. So there. Although your pictures are of higher quality I suppose.
  6. OEM endlinks are also expensive. MSRP is $53 each. I need to drop off some stuff so I'll get those links this afternoon and send them tonight. And no swaybar bushings are not near the endlink. They're wrapped around the swaybar where it attaches to the crossmember. I have some of those too but they're 20mm (from a 97GT) and I think your front bar is 18.
  7. Use ramps if you have them. Make sure you put the big washer in the right place or the bushing will get pulled out of the endlink. It needs to go on the opposite side of the swaybar. Hey are you the person who e-mailed me about the endlinks I have? Because they're in storage and I haven't mailed them yet.
  8. keep in mind that with the car off the lights and brakes and steering don't work so well. Then, if you were to pop the key to acc and then back to on so that the steering didn't lock up, the car would start back up again once you touched the throttle or took it out of gear. Engine braking is more noticeable in lower gears because the engine has more of a mechanical advantage over the wheels. Engine braking occurs on the compression stroke so the valves are closed anyway. Because of the volume of the intake manifold I don't think throttle position would make a noticeable difference.
  9. Yeah many EJ racks will interchange. Exceptions are 05+ Impreza because of the different crossmember/mounting stuff and also other newer ~02+ stuff may not work because the spline count on the column changed. But I think if you take the double U-joint thingy that matches the rack it opens up more options. Your 93 Legacy does have the quickest ratio short of the STi, though.
  10. I prefer vacuum over pressure bleeding. Theoretically it reduces the chance of air in the system.
  11. yes but you need to make a harness. http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=28370
  12. People really need to stop it with the outgassing claim. It doesn't happen. It has not happened for 50 years. Holes do not improve cooling. All they do is reduce rotor mass (a bad thing unless it's 2-piece), and the holes, if anything, will slow down the flow out of the vanes. Then you add in the stress concentrations. Slots: They look kind of cool and make neato sounds. There is a possibility they can help keep the pad surface clean but I wouldn't spend the extra money. Slotted/drilled/magic rotors will do nothing to actually improve braking. Braking ability is much more dependent on the TIRES. Better pads, fresh fluid, and SS lines will make the brakes feel better and hold up to higher temps. A blank parts store rotor, as long as it is straight, is all you need.
  13. no. Vented rears are expensive, rare, and only provide a fraction of the benefit of better front brakes. Start with good pads, fresh fluid, and SS lines if you want an improvement. After that a set of slightly bigger fronts (turbo legacy size) would be good if you had heat problems. If you really wanted to upgrade the rear, a set of wagon calipers would be step one, and step 2 would be 290mm solid discs.
  14. There was only one 2.2 turbo Impreza, ever, and that was the 22b. Me thinks yours is a 2.0.
  15. So the 95 was swapped from a legacy or someone bolted on a kit? It costs about $6500 to have a shop swap in a good condition 02+ WRX driveline/ecu/dash. 10k would be a bit much. Host images online somewhere like imageshack.us and use tags to post them, and keep the size to 800x640 or smaller for inline images.
  16. Here's a great resource for brake tech and bed in procedures: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/tech_white_papers.shtml
  17. There's probably a screw or two behind the cupholder and then clips holding the trim in place. Check above the ashtray as well and then carefully pry off the trim. Once that's off there are six screws that hold the din rails in so you just remove those, pull the whole thing out, and disconnect the plugs. Here is a headunit information thread on nasioc that might be of some help: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=749402
  18. all the wheels. Putting the selector in 1 forces center clutch pack lockup.
