  1. yeah, but rally cars and GT2, GT3 they use magnesium rims, and they weight as much as air. anyway my point is to fit bigger brakes, cause belive it or not my wagon is towing trailers with bikes all over east coast, and i need more stopping power with 2000lbs extra:)
  2. if my tires were lets say 215/45 or 225/45 they would fit on original struts, but the 235's are to wide. and if i would to lower the suspension they will be rubbing on the outside cause they are flush with the car, the front ones are even stickin out a bit.
  3. thin tire is safer then regular tire (high profile),more steady on curves, and when it blows up its easier to handle the car, you can go faster on those preforance tires ( speed raiting H= 210km/h), big rims look nice, they get more air to cool off the brakes, and rally cars do have wheels like that- on street sections
  4. yesterday we, thats 91Loyale and me, put it struts from an outback (picked them up at a junk yard --> trade them in for four mazda rims ) in my wagon, cuz on stock struts the rear tire was rubbin on the inside, weels are ROTA rims 17"x7" ET 45, and tires are YOKOHAMA 235/45 R 17 we made a run to get lug nuts, went to like 6 auto-parts stores :-\ but got them then we wnt for a test drive, the car sticks to the road as hell i want to thank 91Loyale for his time and efourt and use of his garadge
  5. as written, me and 91loyale swaped EJ22 from a 1992 legacy w/blown sparkplug, someone didnt titen the plugs so one of them went up in air, w/ the tread, and that was the good engine:cool: my engine was burning a quart per 200 miles, and after me driving it for 17k it blew a cilinder ,make a long story short, we've pulled out the engine from my car, then we've pulled out the engine from the donor(the car was sitting for 2 years on a pig farm) broke a lots of bolts, stud in head, which we've drilled out after 2 hours.Donor was an AT so we've changed the fly wheel and clutch, water pump, fixed the missing tread with heli-coil kit, and instaled the engine in my wagon.Only thing that went wrong was the timeing, of by 6 teeth, our fault, but its okey now . Engine started a little rough, but after a quick spin (6000rpm) it went back to normal. so far its running great, and i'd want to thank 91loyale for his help and his effort that he've put in to this project:clap: this is what we use EA82 block for this is the best engine lift ever:grin: fun part

  13. so you made it!? i think 91 loyal saw your car, but you were going out of east bruke, our cars were parked in the parking lot at center of the town, so you couldnt see them from the road, after he parked his loyal on the gas station, it was too late:-\ my legacy took us up the toll road in 3rd, but after the first 180 turn ive put it in 2nd, and almost at the top back to 3rd:brow: and the view is nice, and comming back down no smell of brakes, hehe, but in 2nd. we did around 100 miles on the dirt roads all around the place, so that was fun, and some moutain biking. maby next year ther will be more of us:rolleyes: take care
