  1. Thanks everybody for the help! The car runs much better now that the connectors are unplugged! Hopefully my gas milage will improve as well!
  2. Those are them! I'll diconnect and try. Thanks for the pic!
  3. Also, The book has conflicting info regarding disconnecting the vaccum advance. I don't think that my car has that, and the sticker under the hood does not mention it.??
  4. I am trying to set the timing on my 92 EA82. I can't find the green wires, by the wiper motor, that are supposed to be connected prior to timing. There are some green wires that are connected and always have been (maybe that's why my car runs poorly). Does anyone have a pic that they can post? Or can give me a better idea of where to find? Thanks!
  5. Thanks. Circuit City has one of the "mega-kits" in stock. I'm headed there tonight!
  6. Does anyone have any recommendations for a radio / CD player that fits easily into an 92 Loyale? I could not find anything recent on the forum........ From what I have found and read, it appears that I will have to do some hacking on the IP, which is no problem, I am just lazy.
  7. Not sure what is offered in 13's. Stock size is 185/70-13. My ride currently has some cheap 165-R13, no aspect ratio called out, they're metric. I was thinking something like 175/80-13. That gives me about an extra 3/8" ground clearance over stock.
  8. Yes - 3 spd auto. I was hoping that I could pull the tranny apart and put in a different final drive gear.
  9. I have a 92 wagon that I want to lift 2", an put on slightly bigger tires. No true wheeling in mind, just xtra clearance for the trails.... Question is - I would like to lower the gear ratio without going to a manual w/ lo-range. Is it possible (easily) to change the final drive of the tranny? Thanks!
  10. Thanks - I 'll see if I can get anywhere with it......................
  11. I have a 92 Loyale with the stock wheels and their wonderful wheel covers. I want to make the wheels look better. I want to paint them, but I need to find or make some center caps to cover the axels and keep them clean. Did Subies ever come with center caps? Or does anyone know where I can find some? Thanks!
  12. The torque is listed in the front of the chapter in the Haynes manual. I don't think it was very much (14 ft.lbs? I know that is not much help). However, I would just make sure that they are all torqued to the same value so that they don't warp.
  13. Good Thread! My 92 wagon has the same problem. I was planning on working on it this weekend...... However, I have found that if "feather" the throttle, I can usually get the car to respond. Anyone else have similar luck? I will have to try the TPS. Is this a dealer only part?
  14. Thanks for the cool pics. It looks great! Hopefully I'll score one this weekend.
  15. Thanks. I found a local yard that has a Loyale, but they don't know if there is one on it. I am planning on heading out there Sat. to look.
