  1. Does anyone have any ideas where I could get (for free, preferably) a owner's manual for a 1985 Subaru Leone? (I think you Americans call it a Loyale or something) Or (even better) a 1983 DL? (But I don't think any were published.) Any links, good websites, suggestions etc would be welcome. Thanks!
  2. Why don't they have a Subie mag for the 80s models? (eg Brumby (Brat) , DL, GL, Leone (Royale), etc.) I would get that for sure! And as NuclearBacon said, there's enough of us to start one... If everyone got a subscription (although that would be difficlut for me over here in Down Under)... Somebody could start a magazine... But I wouldn't be included, though. I'm not an American and I don't live there. But it would be very cool if you guys got one going!
  3. We used to live near a causeway that you had to pass through to get to ANYWHERE. It was flooding real bad and I was driving the Sooby. I drove in and straight away, it conked out (must have sucked in water.) But through some emergency key-in-ignition-turning and a lot of chugging-but-not-starting I finally got it out before it washed away. It still runs perfectly and that just shows what good performance these Soobys have.
  4. How many times, in your Soob, have you pulled (or towed) a car out of mud or snow? I've tried it with a Subaru pulling out a Ford Falcon but my other car, a Volvo (yes, I'm a bloody Volvo driver) just wrecks the ground! Those Soobys are Strong!
  5. Hi if you're an Aussie and want to buy a Sube, here are some websites you can look at: www.drive.com.au www.carpoint.com.au www.carsales.com.au and if you search on Google you often get Australian results. However these websites will only have at the most four Subarus for sale. There's a 1983 DL Wagon for $700 at this website: www.carsguide.com.au but if you want the exact link (be warned it's a long one) http://search.carsguide.news.com.au/news/display_used.jsp?body_id=null&distance=10&dlr_id=&keywords=&make_id=SUBARU&model_id=L%20SERIES&notify_id=&order_by=A&page=1&pagesize=15&postcode=&price_from=&price_to=&region_id=&search_type=5&stock_no=&trans_id=null&veh_id=&year_from=&year_to=&mast=null&showsel=off&rec_no=26896&search_used_action= Hopefully this helped (I said hopefully.) 6. I can't watch it, for some reason... All it does is come up with a blank screen from the photo gallery and say, "This photo is no longer in our database!" What to do, what to do?...
  7. Hi! Welcome. I'm an Aussie too. "Brats" are Subaru Brumbies over here, for all you American members and a Legacy is a Liberty. I used to own a 1983 Sooby DL but it started to rust so we got rid of it.
  8. Thanks Steve. I was a bit confused when I looked at a website and they listed the 1800 and the DL as seperate cars! Thanks again.
  9. Hello everyone! I used to own a 1983 non-touring wagon Sooob. This may sound like a stupid question (it is) but what is the difference between an 1800 and a DL? I think they're the same thing but please correct me if i'm wrong. I am thinking of purchasing another one.
