I was wondering why my oil pressure is so low lately. When i bought the 87 gl wagon the pressure would start out at about 75 while it warms up and a little lower than 45 when warm. but now it warms up at 35 and idles at 10 i dont know if this is signs she is about to kick or if i need a new oil pump or what cause im about to go on a road trip and i dont want to get stuck somewhere
there is no excess of oil just a little black that comes off on my finger so i dont think its near the main pulley on the timing belt so any other clues
i have recently purchased a condensator but it is meant for a engine with displacement of 140 or more and mine is 109 will it still work....and on a lighter note wheres the pcv and intake manifold located
all i know is that the leak is directly above the oil filter its been leaking down on top of it, i replaced the filter to make sure it wasnt that but there is still oil all over
uh oh.....i got an oil leak right above my oil filter....i have no idea how to fix an oil leak or even where to start....does this mean my engine is done for?....should i have a pro do it, which i really dont want? any info would help
alright heres the deal... someone told me, a prof. mechanic, that i need a new "donut gasket" the thing that connects the the exhaust from the engine to the muffler right under the drivers seat. i have no clue how to do this and im not letting anyone else do it so.... anyone done this before?
