  1. Hey Jeff,I have a sudden interest in your wagon. I just sent back the refund for the windshield gaskets. Can you PM a phone number and good time to call?I want to ask some Q's about the wagon.
  2. NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the heck did you do??????????????? Well,it's all fun 'n games...... Glad you guys at least had a good day. Hoping to see you both in March...and hopefully with an Impreza wagon too.Spotted a decent looking one today, for sale, but in a not so great neighborhood,so we'll see about that one. Regardless,I'm going to bring something there in March, even if it's the '78. Cheers!
  3. aww come on Connie, you've got more than one friend. Whatever you think you need please ask me and I'll do my best to help. For Bucky: Between your heroe (former?)Andrew and Charlie they have plenty accessible parts, and I'll be happy to toss you whatever I have that you need that I can actually get my hands on.You know the deal. At least two cars at Charlie's are mine to still pick from. He's headed past your way soon to see a guy in Peekskill so he can probably meet you down by I-84 if you're willing, and things work out timewise. Good luck, sweety. Neither Charlie nor I have XT parts.
  4. thanks, but it's not something I'm about to do right now.
  5. more!!!! we want more information!!!! Find him, rope and tie him, whatever it takes....
  6. About the same....but still open. Let's face it,Ed threw it out there right in everyone's face. There's a special feeling about the change of seasons and seeing sunshine often.Going to be a tough search to find what nature give us here. Sure, you give up some things for others. But to toss away the change of seasons and good amount of sunshine for a lesser school system seems unlikely. Have to be honest here.I think we're going to focus on the east coast unless somehow we get a lengthy trip to the west coast in soon and it somehow convinces us.With changing of jobs fairly eminent for both of us its going to be difficult to get that trip in. But,even after changing jobs and hopefully moving THIS year we'll still do our best to get out there, even if just for entertainment purposes and minimal scouting,in 2008.
  7. No sweat,we just got back early from a small getaway to MD. I'll call soon you anyways, but my wife isn't crazy about moving to AK right now.
  8. We're across from the Italian section EVERY year. That's where the Asian cars are. From the registration house you drive straight in and take the first possible right and we are immediately on the left.
  9. Sorry guys, came home tonight. We'll talk about March real soon. Hey Frank, good to see you around. I want to climb that tower again.....can you give me directions/location?
  10. Going to take the wife and daughter for a peek at what dad 'n Luc do. This Wed. Ranger station on Rt. 206 around 1PM-2:30PM as best as I can call for now. Going in to the first obvious intersection of larger trails, taking a LEFT and cutting back northward,up to next intersction and right.Should end up over in the Batso area.Or somewhere near the Memorial. White '96 Legacy wagon with 2 adults 'n 2 kids.CT plates, can't miss us. Going to do a nice slow ride for the ladies. *****First mile or so will determine if we do the route mentioned above or if we turn around and head for highway.****** So,if its super slick,we're turning around. This time of year it is NOT a family event  in the wrong conditions.
  11. ....work,all depends on work htis year.Might be working in a helicopter plant, might be banging nails, might be relocating.....the coin is tossed,we'll see what the next handful of months brings. But thanks all around for all the offers you guys have made.I keep telling the wife how cool it is to have folks I've never seen be willing to go through all that trouble and expense...and she knows, but parting from the family when we both work, both handle kids,etc...with only her mom nearby, who does not drive....etc. just a tough deal to dump on the wife full time. Cheers!
  12. no...I don't NEED to sell off anything.It's a choice.Thanks though.
  13. Nah,,,,,thanks but it's just not a good year at this point. They offered a flight before, and I sure do appreciate those offers.Last year I think I got myself scratched from the list but in their defense it was a rough year for the organizers and I completely understand if I got overlooked or scratched for other reasons...like me being a dXXX or something. It was a rough year all around for bad communication, misunderstandings, and total drama. My daughter has a little ear infection, nothing too serious, but she's kind of miserable at times. Matt,I want to talk to you about life up there but really should just call you. Please PM a number so when I have some time I can call you.Let me know when is best to call based on your time zone and I'll adjust.Thanks. We've about had it with this part of the country and are serious about relocating.
  14. Sweet! Wish I had one just like it. Now go find a set of Forester suspension to give it a little lift.
  15. Matt,Thanks for the invite.I really appreciate that. Well, for one thing it looks like we are putting off our anticipated west coast romp this year for sure, but hoping for 2008.Just a bad past year for a lot of reasons. I'll try to send you a PM later or soon.My little girl is sick and it's been a tricky kind of day.
  16. I sure wouldn't have any problem with you posting this at the top of any forum you think works.Don't limit it to just the 80's.You folks have the best event going as far as I'm concerned.Sure there's that big event for the newer cars mostly, here on the east coast, but you guys have the best all-around event, hands down.Slut yourself out and post it everywhere.
  17. Not only will you look cool you'll be functional.Support vehicles often have to travel slower than the traffic you'll be buffering from the participants so the strobes will indeed be well liked by all for safety reasons alone. Gotta admit,I kind of looked the other way when the whole idea came to view, but I like what you're doing now. .....not crazy about the pajama paintjob, but it'll probably grow on me.
  18. Since you're going to need to take the wheels to a shop anyways ask them which media is best.Sand,bead,etc....they'll know.To most of us here we'll just tell you sand or beadblast them.Zipstrip type stuff works well too,but mighty caustic. I guess you'll be busy this summer going to Triathalons,Sailing regattas, and stuff like that.Great support vehicle for runners, bikers, walkers, etc. I hope you do a few of those charity runs, etc. like for Diabetes,AIDS,Cancer, and such.Load the bed with ice and drinks and you're the king. Have fun with it.
  19. Moderbators...please move this to Historic...thanks.
  20. Also, that unit you have has me wondering.I'll have to check my '78 but I'm sure mine is not that type.Todd would know which one that is.York?Sandin?
  21. I remember seeing it and wanting to copy it.....hmmm FPM's do not show A/C at all.Has to be a service/install manual particular to the unit.
  22. Yup,seems that way to me too. Like uncle Skip pointed out to me,check the connector to the Coolant Thermo Sensor. It gets corroded something nasty.I took mine out and cleaned up the male prongs on the CTS with flat toothpicks tinyand sandpaper strips that I used on the toothpick. Then check the connector.Usually they are broken and don't seat well and also have corrosion. If the connector doesn't seat well when you put it back on get some foil duct tape and strap it down with some thin strips.
  23. Same thing as a soda can with hose clamps..... Hey guys, some of these completely S U C K so please just add a post IF YOU HAVE AN ACTUAL TOOL THAT WORKS ON AN ACTUAL Subaru PART. We all know the wonders of duct tape, and such. Nice that some of you want to chime in for the sake of conversation but that's not the intention of this post thread. Some useful makeshift TOOLS have really been a blessing. Like I said, what you see here on Sunday might get you to work on Monday.Things you do in a pinch to get a job done, yes, but I really was hoping we'd keep it to the TOOLS and methods. Lots of folks have made the axle tool.I'm glad some of you posted a pic. Then others can copy it.Hoping to see more pics or good descriptions like we've had. Don't be a tool, post your tool.
