I put in the correct fuse, and I found out why it was blowing. Thanks.

My girlfriend likes the banana. Anyway, I was blowing the engine monitor fuse. It was blowing because I had a few fuses missing and too much power was going through the system; just enough power to blow the fuse.

I'm working on an '86 XT right now. I want to replace the stock rack on the back with a fin. Any ideas of what to look for?

Man, thanks. That will be a big help. Someone suggest I post a little bit more info, but here is the problem. Billowing smoke from directly behind the instrument cluster. Pretty sure it's just a bad wire. Thanks.

Thanks. I'll post my problem too. So I was constantly blowing one fuse, I finally fixed that fuse problem, but now everytime that fuse is plugged in I get a bunch of smoke from the top left side of the dash. I can see exactly where it is coming from, but I can't get to it. Thanks again guys.

I have an '86 XT Turbo. I'm having some electrical problems and I need to get the dash off. How do I do this? Thanks. PS - I need the whole dash off, not just the trim.

Sorry. It's an '86 XT turbo. The smoke is coming from the far left on the driver side. It doesn't smoke when we pull out the engine monitor fuse.

I figured out why my fuse keeps blowing, and fixed that, but now I'm getting a ton of smoke. I know right where it is coming from, but I can't get the dash off. Can anyone tell me how? This would be awesome!

Yeah I actually really like how the XT is now, but I wanted to replace the little rack on the back with something a little nicer, and my friend is missing pieces to his XT kit. Thanks.

I was looking for a body kit for my 86 XT. I know they make one specifically for the car, but isn't there another kit that will fit? Does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks.

If it is the computer, check the wrecking yards. My XT's computer was dead and I got one at a junk yard for 25 dollars.

Yeah, I was trying to sell, but I decided to try and get it into really nice condition and just keep it. Thanks for the tip, I'll try that.
