  1. Junkyard would be cheapest. Maybe some super glue or JB Weld if you don't think you'll ever need to get it out again? Check a junkyard...it'll be uber cheap compard to a dealer...

  3. I've had keys cut at local hardware stores that only did locks and trunk. The original key was really worn down...so I assumed that was the reason. I need to go to a dealer and get one cut from my VIN. Also, the one place I got keys cut...they use Datsun blank keys...
  4. tweezers or needle nose pliers? That sucks. I hope this turns out well for you.
  5. newer models (all 2.5l I think) have a timing belt change interval of 105,000 miles. Older newer gen ones are 60,000.
  6. sometimes the seals last 50,000 miles...sometimes they last 250,000 miles. The cam seals and oil pump seals are not to bad (pricewise). If you need a timeing belt, get them done then...you'll save money. I think the cam seals are like $200 or so...but a timing belt, cam seals, oil pump seals, and waterpump are like $450 - $500. Not sure about individual pricing...and YMMV depending on location. I don't know why they go...but surly they will last you until your next timing belt change, and it can be done again then.
  7. cam seals or oil pump seals? Both are common leaks. The cam seal will cause a lot more oil to leak out than the oil pump seal (in my experience)
  8. Wrap a small towel or rag around the magnetic base to protect your paint.

In my moms 95 Legacy and my 96 OBW there is room for a double din radio...but also a single din with an empty slot below it (as it came stock) Just hook the aftermarket unit up to the metal bracket that was on the OE radio...and its all good. I moved my radio to the bottom slot, and have the empty slot on top (can see the radio better then cup holder is being used)
  10. 1996 - 1999 2.5l are the years with problems, I believe. I think starting with 2000 they are less common.
  11. If the engine was fine (seems that way if you were driving it around) why not just replace head gaskets instead of the entire engine?
  12. In the winter I try and keep them near what they recomend...but when its isn't slick out I keep them at 33 psi.
  13. That is an INSANE price for an engine. For that much you can get a low mileage 2.2l Subaru that is only a few years older. Sorry if this is no help to you.
  14. If I had the money for a spare car, i'd just set it on bricks and let it run the odometer up real high...just to show it off :-P
