  1. I got off work early on Friday and was watching Unsolved Mysteries or something...and they where showing a street corner...BANG...Outback drives past. Then, that night I was watching Cops (it caught my attention because it was from Pittsburgh) and they where in persuit of a early 90s Legacy Sedan. When they caught it and got the dude driving it, the cop sat down in it and noticed the car had no brakes...heh.
  2. I paid about $6k for my 96 OBW 5-sp 2.2l w/ 90k miles. Needs a timing belt job eventully...some minor dings...but overall really good condition. How many miles are on it? Ask to take it to get looked over by a mechanic of your choice.
  3. Hit us here on Wend. and Thursday. Lots of rain...lots of flooding. Ivan is supposed to be a lot worse than the last two.
  4. Subaru and VW Jettas are common for homosexuals...maybe they just have good taste:lol: (As long as the Jetta is a diesel)
  5. Try a junkyard. Are you looking for bulbs or the whole foglight unit?
  6. Subaru dealer here in Butler, PA (Kervin Motors) charges about $275 to do a timing belt.
  7. I have the same problem on my Outback...I was just going to use some Windex or some other cleaner...but i'll try the Turtle Wax. Good luck on your new wagon!
  8. I paid $5995 for my 1996 2.2l 5-speed Outback with 90,000 miles on it in April 2004. So $5k is a decent price. Ask when the timing belt was changed and all that stuff...maybe you can get the price lower.
  9. Its as big as like South Park or something...at least it seems to be around here.
  10. The gold ones are off the sti...they are bigger and my not fit. We're talking about the 16" WRX ones.
  11. i'm bidding on some on eBay...I don't know how high i'll go...but I hope I get a good deal
  12. When you press on the gas the RPMs will shoot up like it isn't in gear. That is the main thing...clutch slipping.
  13. Alright, thanks. I just wanted something a bit louder and aggressive. I'll look into the aftermarket horns. I don't think I want to go with an air horn or anything.
  14. I was thinking about getting a new horn...possibly off an old car, or even just a new loud one. My question is, will a horn just connect to the old wiring for my old horn and work? Do I need to run some new wires? Thanks.
  15. ...yuck I like the brushed aluminum or gun metal finish (whatever its called.) Chrome looks tacky on most cars.
  16. I bought a MAF on eBay for $10 and one at a Junkyard for $75. They can be expensive. The K&N will let bigger particals past the filter and could harm the engine. The power and acceleration you will get will bot be much, so it wouldn't even be worth it for that. And $6 every 12,000 miles for a OEM or other similar one is not to bad.
  17. I am from Slippery Rock, PA and there is a big forign junkyard in Harmony, PA. hey have a bunch of Legacys and Imprezas from the Mid to late 90s. Lemme know what you are looking for and I can stop out and let you know what they have, get a price, etc.
  18. There was a recal and dealers offer a 'conditioner' that you put in the coolant..this might prevent it for a while.
  19. I've got a 95 and a 96 2.2l. The 95 has been in the family since new...and has 215,000 miles on it. Aside from some oil leaks, it is wonderful. I have had my 96 OBW since April 2003 and have put 10,000 miles on it. It is just was flawless. The 2.2l motor is a very good engine. Keep oil in it, don't beat it to bad...and it'll treat you right
  20. Because most people are liars and try to get money without doing any work. It could have just been something simple, they lied to get more money.
