  1. http://io.mattocs.com/subaru/ Some more pictures if anyone is interested.
  2. $6400 after tax, title, and etc. The clutch in the Legacy lasted 190,000 miles...heh. And the cup is some iced tea I got on my way home :-x (I was thirsty) The hood...not sure. Gonna see how much it'll cost to get pounded out.
  3. Lol...yeah. It even has a tow hitch. The service records are great. Came with recipts for a lot of the oil changes, battery, hitch, clutch, and lots of other junk. Clutch was done at 68,000 miles...prev. owner musta been hard on it.
  4. I picked it up this afternoon. It runs so nice. The inside is like new...no wear at all on anything...I love it Tomorrow I will take some more pictures after I give it a bath. The sun is going down so these ones might be a tad dark. I will get an estimate on the dent in the hood sometime soon and i'll be sure to let everyone know how much its gonna cost. 1996 Legacy Outback (90,500 miles)
  5. Is there a place on the Carslile website to reserve a camping spot? I might also sleep in the car...heh. If I get a site then i'll have extra room so lemme know if you want a spot (if there are any campsites left :-\)
  6. Picking it up tomorrow. It is the dark blue 1996 Legacy Outback with the dent in the hood. Test drove it and all that today...real nice car. I will go get an estimate on the hood sometime soon. I will take pictures of it tomorrow when I get it home.
  7. Anyone getting a campsite and have some extra room? I'd pitch in for the fee if wanted. Lemme know.
  8. Yeah. I think I might go with 16s...and even if I dont concider tire size the speedometer shouldnt be off to much.
  9. Mine ticked all the time for about a month or two. It would be loud, too. Ticked...non-stop. I came to the conclusion it was the valve lifters (a bunch of people mentioned it might be it) Then one day...it stopped. Perhaps it was junk caught in the engine or something...I dunno. That was prob. 12,000 miles ago.
  10. Or just sell it on ebay 'as is' and say 'last time I knew it worked...' because people on eBay will pay more than things are worth most the time and they believe that crap about it working
  11. On the 1996 Legacy Outback the tires are P205/60R15. If I get 16 inch rims and tires that were P205/60R16 would the speedometer be off? Or would they have the same circumference or whatever of the 15s...just a lower profile? Also, anyone know how much it costs to get a speedometer redone? I think 17s on an OBW would be neat. Thanks.
  12. I have 212,000 miles on my 2.2l and have to add no oil between changes...even when I go 5,000 miles
  13. I can head out Friday or Saturday morning...I am just seeing if anyone else would wanna do this. Someone has to be coming from my area...lemme know
  14. What is the color on the botom half of the Outback? Its a goldish greyish color. I am looking for touch up paint and would like to know the code or the name of it.
  15. Go to a non-Subaru mechanic and get their price...or don't buy an automatic ever again
  16. Anyone interested in driving to Carslile in a big lump of Subarus? I am in Western PA. Anyone from Pittsburgh, PA or Erie, PA or west (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, etc) who would like to do something like this should get a hold of me. I am willing to go out of my way a bit to meet up. I am right on I-79 and I-80 in Western PA (right near the Ohio boarder...40 miles from Pittsburgh and 90 miles from Erie) mattocs@zoominternet.net AOL IM: MattocS ...or post here or PM me if interested. Thanks
  17. I know if it was a manual you could find more people to buy it. There is a 98 GT auto around here for $6000...but no one wants it because its an auto.
  18. I sure did! Hope I can make it...I registerd with my 95 Legacy but will end up coming with a 1995 - 1998 Legacy or Outback...if one comes along in the next month or so. Hope to be there.
  19. It is 135HP (EJ22) The Kelly Blue Book value on this car is $8300. Edmunds.com puts it at $5500 for a car in 'average' condition.
  20. Just look around on Auto Trader or something for a whole car or keep an eye out in the newspaper. I see you are from Pittsburgh...i'm a bit north of you in Butler County.
  21. needs a new grill...those are like $80 on the net. There are many small scratchs...but no dents...so they could be touch up painted. I have to think about it some more...if nothing else comes along in a few weeks and that car is still there then I might go with it. I will offer them $5000 for it probably.
  22. The dent on the hood...anyone know how much that would cost to get redone?
  23. When is the deadline to register? If I get another Subaru by then i'll come...but I don't wanna bring my 1995 Legacy with a smashed fender, chipping paint, and etc. If she was in good condition then i'd bring her and everyone could tell me how well it runs for having 212,000 miles.
