  1. I don't think i'll be able to make it this year. Next year i'll plan ahead and try and make it.
  2. PA is a pretty big area. Where are you at?
  3. I'm not sure if i'm going to be coming this year. I came the first year and it was a decent time. I'll let you folks know if i'm in or not soon.
  4. Are you getting any check engine lights? How long since you replaced air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, and pcv valve? Those are the cheap basics to getting better gas mileage. You should be at least able to get 22 or so if you drive nice and smoth. Maybe its your driving style?
  5. Make sure the clutch is adjusted properly... Also, try double clutching...that'll get you around for a bit.
  6. what year and model? If its AWD, then you should have not just replaced the front, you usuly need to do all four tires at the same time. Uneven treadwear is usuly because it needs aligned or the tire pressue is low. Make sure you have all four matching tires (brand, model, and same treadwear...if not, go for four new tires.) Get it aligned, balanced, and keep the tire pressue at what its supposed to be.
  7. When doing a timing belt and water pump (at least on the 2.2l) the oil seals are pretty much parts cost only, as they are in locations easy to get to when doing timing belt and whatnot. Your car is getting up their in mileage. You might not see a head gasket problem....but then again, its very common. Just make sure you have $1500 or so available so at the first sign you can get it fixed and not mess up your engine.
  8. 17? You might need a tune up. I can beat the HELL out of my Outback get get at least 22. When I only drive hard here and there I can get 24 - 25. Not bad for a 10 year old car.
  9. mine died at 122k / 10 years. Every time you get a timing belt done, get water pump done.
  10. Took about three hours to put a Bulldog remote start in my wifes Hyundai. Only problem with hers is that sometimes the remote does not want to work...so you have to tap on it. I took it apart and bent the battery contacts a bit, and that seemed to fix it. Great starter for $40.
  11. Nice looking car. We havn't had a whole lot of snow here in western Pennsylvania this year...i'm sure we will get a good bit soon.
  12. Got the basic Bulldog starter for my wife. No alarm or keyless entry. $40 well spent. It wasn't very hard to install in a Hyundai Accent.
  13. i'd say 10 or so. Its a decently capable grocery getter...not a sports car.
  14. The hole was not fixable. I got some tires and i'm going in tomorrow to get them put on. $320 after labor and all that. Not to bad.
  15. Yeah, i'm going to go check if I can get the tire repaird this morning, and if not i'll go in tomorrow for new tires.
  16. Yeah, late in November the ole' Bank of Mom paid for a new timing belt, water pump, oil seals, and all that. So i'm going on Tuesday after work to get some Sumitomo HTR T4. Anyone have any or know if they are any good. They seem to be nice and long lasting all seasons.
  17. Looks like my mom is gonna buy me new tires for Christmas. Hopefully on Tuesday i'll get them. I'll drive it to and from work on Tuesday and hope nothing goes wrong with it.
  18. I dont care about how it will handle in snow and rain. I will measusre it up tomorrow. I try and spin the tires every bit I can in hopes it will decreace any bind in the tanny or etc. I hope on Tuesday I can get tires. I keep it under 50 MPH. I hit a rock to cause the tire to leak. At least it was on tires with 40,000 miles on them.
  19. I know what they say...but like...when will I start to get binding and have expensive problems. I don't really care about the handeling and stuff.
  20. So I hit a rock yesterday and didn't think anything of it. This morning when I pull out of the driveway, I hear thunk thunk thunk...pull into the carwash cross the road, and I have a flat tire. I put the spare on and went to work (20 miles) and came home (20 miles). How long can I drive with the spare on until problems occour? All the driving i'll do will be from work to home. I don't know when i'll be able to afford new tires..so thats why i'm asking. Its a 96 Outback, 2.2l, 5 speed manual tranny.
