  1. By the tube, do you mean that carries the oil to the guage??? If so they make copper hose you can buy in any lenght you need. Works great and you don't have to worry about laying it on something hot or sharp and ruining it. Later, Tim
  2. You got me, I didn't even look at his car list:eek: . But I will add that I have had hydo lifter EA81's tick from low oil etc. Later, Tim
  3. Glad your okay, might be a good time to step into the 20th century and get something with 5 mains:lol: (just a little humor to help ease the pain, most of us have been there at one time or another) Bummer to lose all that work, Tim
  4. FTW!!!! when it needs more OP it will let you know. I have owned alot of EA82's and even a new CCR one. They all have very low idle OP. If it starts to clicking then I'd worry about the oil pump. However (caveat) if you are going in for belts or what ever then add the OP and WP they're relativly cheap and easy at that point and good insurance. Later, Tim
  5. Yes Yes and again, yes. My appoligies, being new you probably haven't discovered the joy of my some times dry humor (see, I'm doing it again;) ) I do carry two tool boxes with me at all times one is standard stuff and the other is for "special tools" everything from an axle puller to spring compressors. Welcome to the board, Tim
  6. My only thought is "why would you go somewhere and not have the proper punch to take out a roll pin"???? Oh, that and one or two about that "other board", But I don't want to stir up trouble so I'll let that one go................
  7. That's part of what's great about it. You don't have to take the tire off, just pull the valve stem and use the hose and bottle jig to put it in. I think I'm going to get the outside weights put back on, but I'll try some of this stuff too. There web site says it will work with regularly balanced tires too. Later, Tim
  8. Sorry , I meant to post the link...... http://www.innovativebalancing.com/index.html and the pirate thead itself is alot of good info....... http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=516130 Thanks guys, Tim
  9. No worries mate. I took no condescension and I didn't think you were speaking badly in the least. I did find what I was looking for on pirate4x4. I think I'm going to give it a try. Later, Tim
  10. I had the lifetime balance deal when I had them done originaly. But with Swampers it takes a lot of weight to get them right. I was hopeing for something internal that wont fall off again. Thanks, Tim
  11. I just lost a whole slug of weights off the inside of my rim so I need to get it rebalanced. I've heard talk of a powder that goes in the tire that is self balancing. Does anyone have any info on this stuff eg what it's called, where to get it, how much it costs, how it works etc etc. Thanks for any help, Tim
  12. When I bought my OBW it had a very slight HG leak. I tried the snake oil someone on this board was selling (not the same as what you are going to use) and it finished off my motor in very short order!!! Wrecking yard motors are cheap and easy to install, that's the route I'd recomend. Later, Tim
  13. Finally got a new one that meets the "off road" criteria:headbang: :headbang: These and a few more on Mick's photos
  14. I'm a Heli-coil guy. I think I've always used the 3/8 Heli-coil and a matching SAE 3/8 stud from the exhaust shop down the street. Loctight on Heli-coils is your friend. Later, Tim
  15. We are on the road, all system are a go:headbang: :headbang: . Be safe, Tim
  16. Bummer you guys can't make it:( . FMJ, are you still coming??? Mick, what time are you planning on showing up at the Ranch?? Also, will you PM me your cell number?? I'll shot you mine. What is the CB channel you guys are gonna be on??? I'm going to put a little bigger jets in my Weber today too. Hatch is running at it's best so hopefully it will do well. Oh yeah, Mick do you have any spare GL turn signal lights, the ones in the bumper?? I could use a driver side one. Thanks, Tim
  17. Come on, cut the guy some slack. Only three posts and he has obviously figured out the search function:banana: Tim
  18. It seems the forum on Subarubrat's (Scott's) website has been hacked by what appears to be a militant group. I tried PM a few days ago but haven't heard back from him. any one with his Email??? Thanks for any help, I know he would not appriciate what they have put up. Tim
  19. If you can weld and have access to a welder and a few other basic metal working tools you could build your own. I built mine for well under $100 (not including winch). Later, Tim
  20. If you do decide to do this job your self here's a couple of very importaint yet easy to miss things 1. There is a zero mark stamped in to the fly wheel and the pressure plate, those marks have to be > 120º apart from each other. 2. the torque spec for the pressure plate is between 10.5 - 12.7 ft-lb, use a torque wrech 3. get a full kit with pilot bearing, throw out bearing, pressure plate and disk. This is not a job you want to take short cuts on. 4. Don't forget a pilot tool, alot of kits come with a plastic one, just remember you will need one. The worst thing you will have to do is remember where all the hoses and stuff go:confused:  . Might want to snap some pics before you start and label everything. Later, Tim
  21. Hey Mick do you think you could make up a few MWSM 4 decals. I'd hate to have to skip a year on my line up. Be glad to give a few dollars for one. This is gonna be a blast!!!!! Talk to you later, Tim
  22. I've been struggling with the rear seals on my new motor. I hope I now have it sealed. But I have a winch so everything is good. When the rain lets up I'll finish up and take it for a test drive, Wish me well on it:clap: . Later, Tim
  23. Okay, just had them made at Napa. All I did was bring in a roll of #2 welding cable. $17.50 later a have a set of custom premium cables:banana: . Thanks for the help guys:headbang: . Tim
  24. Absolutly 100%. I've had mine on my hatch for about three years now. Best $112 I ever spent on my car:burnout: Later, Tim
