  1. Lower left dash, should be a blue button with an orange center. IIRC they only work either with or without the high beams on. Later, Tim
  2. 32, if you run them low on the road they will get ate up quick!! Also more likely to have a blow out at higher speeds and better milage with a firmer tyre. Later, Tim
  3. Micky now has that one. I went to a straight LSD in her car too. I definately know what your saying about the ice. It was awesome on snowy roads. Enjoy, Tim
  4. Bill definately exemplifies "do unto others". He sent me parts as a "gift". You just don't get any better!!!! Thanks Bill:D
  5. I'm in with the always crowd. I don't care how slow your going, if you roll you can be ejected and that's not a good thing. If your in water deep enough to drown in while undoing your belt, your in way to deep anyways . Tim
  6. That is wild!!! It's like a cross between drag racing, moto X and barrel racing:grin: Just when you think you've seen it all:D Tim
  7. My original point altogether!!!! If it was on the wide open prairie and he didn't see the cop that makes it that much worse, how about if it was a deer or a car on the road he didn't see. Thanks for the encouragement........ :-\
  8. This may sound remedial, but you do have jets on top of those, right??? Those tubes are replacable and are metered with different size holes. Tim
  9. I sure get the sarcasim, and the reason I'm in a possition to hand out a little a$$ chewing??? Yep, "been there done that". Am I proud of it, heck no. In fact, I'm amazed that I didn't kill someone. Does that mean just because I did it that makes it alright??? If I can make one kid, you included, think about what there about to do the next time, then I will continue to give an occational "fatherly chat". Tim
  10. You can save your cool guy race stories for the punk boards. Not to many around here are going to be very impressed by a total lack of regard for the safety and well being of anyone else that might stumble accross you on that road.
  11. Hey Rick, not to be a wise guy at all, but those are a one way set up. They are a hair off set and they will only go on one direction. I'd bet that if you spin the axle around 180º that it will go right in. A good way to tell is there is a small dimple on the hole in the axle and that lines up with the hole on the axle that has the dimple on it. If you already knew this, sorry but it might help someone else. Later, Tim
  12. Alot is going to have to do with your particular state. For instance in CA if you do any mods to the fuel system you probably wont pass. I'd suggest checking at a local test station, they should be able to give you all the info for your state. That sounds like a case of bad bushings on the butterfly if I'm getting what you are writing. You can get them redone, but I think the procces is not an easy one to do. You may want to just grab a different carb and start over. They're cheap at wrecking yards, see the thread on what car to get one from. Tim
  13. Chaser = hatchback up North. Welcome aboard. Tim
  14. They've been on for around 2 years and not a click or grind . I'll definately be getting another set when these finally give out!!! Later, Tim
  15. Not sure but I may have the CCR record...... EA82T, EA81(custom), and EJ25. You will not be sorry with a CCR replacement engine. Tim
  16. You may not understand this yet, but there is alot more to "off roading" then simply slamming your car through the forest. Each and every vehicle built has a limit. Will your stock OBW keep up with a rock crawler???? Not a chance. Will it allow you to see some beautiful back road scenery??? Absolutly. How far you can take your car will grow as you gain experience and finese. I personaly would never take my 97 OBW off road, why?? Because I love the car and that's not what I bought it for. You may have other ideas and plans, just learn what you and it are capable of before you go ditch hopping (please remember, learning takes time). My suggestion, get a beater to practice on, maybe a jeep or something like that:grin: . Later, Tim
  17. I always like to throw in a plug for Jim. I've bought alot of Weber stuff from him and I've always had a good experiance. Later, Tim PS. Jim the large air correction jets have done wonders for my economy, Thanks.
  18. Hey Kurt, I have a spare govoner shaft if you need it let me know. Tim
  19. Do a search for "pin Socket". They aren't bad for price, I think mine was under $25 with shipping. Later, Tim
  20. Before I tear into this project, I have a question. Do the pictograms of the little dude light up or is it just the indicator lights under the buttons that light???? 97 OBW. Thanks, Tim
  21. Also post in the "Transplant forum". There's a ton of info in there too. Welcome to the USMB!!! Tim
  22. I have a relay controled direct battery bank that I use for accessories. I'll just tap into that. Thanks guys, Tim
  23. Okay, got the oil pressure one figured out. but the volt meter going to the output from the alt makes the guage "hot" all the time. I need a point that doesn't feed it until the key is turned on. Any ideas?? Thanks, Tim
  24. First one: The volt meter should just go pos to alt and grnd to grnd corect?? Second: Should I use the same hole that the electric sending unit was in or use one of the other holes on the pump??? Thanks, tim
  25. We drove through one of the worst blizards of the year, two years ago, to pick up the motor for my hatch from CCR. Counted 67 vehicles in the ditch on the way. Good ol' Rosy was just loving it. Tim
