  1. With that being said, yeah, go ahead and call them. They are not "cheap" but at this point in my life I've come to understand "you get what you pay for". I concider it money very well spent. More to come...........
  2. Anyone have contact info for his shop??? Thanks, Tim

  8. It's out and on the ground!!!!! . I think when I put the long block in I will put it in by it's self and then bolt accesories to it. Just seems like any easier way about it. Later, Tim
  9. Hi Jay, I'm doing just what Commuter just mentioned. I got a "great deal" on a 97 OBW with a bad headgasket (didn't know it was bad at the time:rolleyes: ) But I'm putting in a CCR long block and I'll take alot of comfort in knowing exactly what I have under the bonnet. If your looking at economy, don't get too excited, you'll get between 22-28mpg depending on how you drive it. As for reliability, go for it, these things eat snow . Later, Tim
  10. Subystyle is the guy your looking for, and yes we gave him a lot of heck at first but his car turned out nice. Welcome aboard, Tim
  11. Get a socket that is the same diameter as the bearing. Hold the socket on the bearing and tap the socket!! Those bearings can be bought by them selfs and aren't to expensive IIRC. Better luck on the next one. Tim
  12. Funny, I was going through the pictures and there is a very familier red Brat taking a hill:grin: . What's the general area of the park??? is it by Omaha?? Later, Tim

I guess for all you superior imagination and visulization skills you can't see this -> and know that your just getting a little razing. How about putting your pride away and ask dad how to use your equipment??? If you want to sit around the camp fire and tell stories that's fine, but the world has a lot more to offer now and that includes digital photos from anywhere to anywhere in the world at the click of a button!!! Tim
  14. Mostly just want to make sure that there are only two nuts (bottom) and two bolts (top) that need to be removed to pull the engine out. That bottom drivers was a pain, ended up pulling the axle off the stub to get a straight shot at it:rolleyes: . Any other tip are more then welcome!!! Thanks, Tim
  15. I think you will fit right in, just try and keep up with the old school . That's the very first Baja I've ever liked!!! Welcome aboard, Tim
  16. Austin just left from ourt place. We had a real nice visit, the girls even took to him:lol: . At this point he's only about 3 hours away. I'm glad we got to meet you Austin. Later, Tim
  17. Just a hair North of Sioux Falls. Right on your way via I90. Be cool to see you there. Maybe try and drag Bill along!!!!
  18. Okay, I got the new lifters in my car and that seemed to have a small benefit on my milage. Before I fixed them I ordered a couple of air correction jets, 175, 180. I changed the fuel jets to P:160 S:140 and changed the air jets to P:175, and S:170. It was just about right on the money with the baseline setting!! Gave the fuel/air jet 2.25 turns out and the idle got about .75 turn. It seems to be running good, just a little hint of a stumble on early acceleration, I attribute that to possibly being just a touch lean. I'll let you know what the milage does soon. Later, Tim UPDATE: I can't believe how much better it is, 20MPG!!!! and it seems like it may be a little better on the second tank with this configuration. I seem to have alot more secondary responce now too. I do need to work on the peddle, I have about 4mm of unused throtle:brow: .

  20. Not the brightest star in the sky...LOL I was doing a search on this, and the one right under this one told how to do it:rolleyes: . Thanks, Tim
  21. Do I use this same hole to remove the TC bolts from the Flex Plate??? American cars, for the most part, are disconected from the bottem side. Thanks, Tim
  22. When we went through Bozeman we started playing the "Subaru game" with in a block of entering town there were so many that we couldn't keep up!!!! There was one small car lot that must have had a dozen EA82 Subbies on it. They get my vote for capital in the US. Israel gets my vote for international Subby capitol. Tim
  23. It has begun. Pulled the radiator and air box. Just awefull hard to work in 95º weather:slobber: . Tim
