  1. Carefull there. Next thing you'll know you'll be seeking out unplowed parking lots and pretending your are a racer in the WRC. Unplowed parkinglots are FUN in a Soobie.
  2. That idea did come up after consulting with some other mechanic friends. The owners manual only says to inspect the gear oil levels and tranny fluid, never saying to replace it. We did look at it and it looked fine. Of course after 120K that is kind of common sence. We're gonna do that since you are another person suggesting it. And if that doesn't fix the problem, at least I have new fluids and I'm not out of a bunch of $$$. Thanks
  3. I just joined too. Looking for help with my 95 legacy and came across this sight. I'm already hooked.
  4. First off, hello to everyone. It is nice to come across a board like this. I just had my right front axle replaced, the outer boot had torn and my mechanic friend suggested we replace the whole axle and not just the boot. That has worked fine. The problem that we thought would go away, but didn't, is when I am turning at slow speeds like in a parking lot the car shudders. It is almost like when you are driving a 4WD truck in 4WD but on dry pavement. LIke the front wheels are locked and rotating at the same rate. It does not seem as bad first thing in the morning, or when I'm off the gas and gravity is pulling me. It seems worse after the car is warm, or especially if I'm on the gas and turning at slow speeds. I never notice it at faster speeds, but of course the wheels are never turned that far to either side at faster speeds. It seems equal turning left and right. My car is a 1995 Legacy sedan, 2.2L with an automatic transmition. Along with the front axle we did the 120K service. Any ideas would be appreciated.
