  1. Talked about doing this back in the mid-late 90’s. 86-92 GL or GL-10 (brat in storage)/wagon or XT/6 plus VW TDI 1.9 ALH power plant (have in storage) plus PK Davis liftkit ….
  2. IT's the fall season "finally" around here and has been for a while up-yonder eh? I'd like to start a new chapter / thread. "Thanksgiving" reboot. Thanks for giving so mutually to this forum folks. (forgive my spelling still) Thanks to a few names I recall and haven't seen in a decade or more: ChefTim & his wife (& DRTYGRL) 78TurboBrat, Subaru3, Caleb Those who have been fond memories for me as well whom have been recently here in threads that I have seen: Moosens, Milesfox, Carfreak85, McBrat, Numbchux, ShawnW, Turbone, Zap, SubTex, Legacy777, and the ID from CT with 24 at the end? I wonder what ever happened to TomRHere & Huckster I thank you all for the civility, intelligence, honesty, and respect. Have a relaxing set of holidays with your families. (Cheers!) FYI this is a pic of me and some of our pup's from 2013
  3. i wonder what has happened to both the XT's you refer too....
  4. DUDE... let me tell you to start searching about the BYB lift kit.... its an Aussie designed kit. I got PK Davis (of Sandiego, California fame) to sell me one of his offical version of that designed kits for my wagon. they had a 2" kit but, I got the 4" kit. thats a start for ya. go forth and be fruitful!
  5. I ran across... errrm, Skip ran across me in a Ford diesel forum several years ago... then, I lost track of him from there too.... (looks at Moosens) Dude. Glad your still kickin it. I've been thru alot of stuff the last decade.... I so miss the Mentor the Skip was for me.... likely he was for many others as well.....
  6. i wonder what ever happened with the last 2 subies I owned..... "snowflake" my 88 xt6 was bought by a forum member & a 2nd forum member arrived in DFW and drove it to the east coast back around 06-09. same time period my "D/Ragon" 87 gl-10 lifted wagon (PK Davis lift) that I'd converted from 4EAT to a D/R 5spd .... got sold to some guys who --- IIRC kept it in texas..... never saw any other posts.... Granted I don't recall looking very hard either.... (shrugs) oh well.... off to do more paperwork... g'night yall.
  7. Been a while, this maybe a pre-intro to a potential subie-head here in the Plano,Tx area; if not "her" then maybe her parent(s)! (thumbs up) Have pic of her/their adorable soft blue hatch!
  8. Blast from the past. The truth is, it's in KPH -the Digi dash has a loop that I put a spst switch in to flip between MPH-KPH.

I sold her 2 yrs ago. I think.

  9. does that say 155?

i am still runing the ea82t

the best it sed was 132 then i thout i should slow down lol

    what are you runing

  10. Yes, they are. And yes I still ha ve them.

  11. sheeesh,so here we are jan 12th and i still haven't got the pieces in a single box with a actual total weight idea for shipment. on my end... on your end I'll assume your nearly as busy as to why no zipcode has been sent to me yet too? shade and sweetwater, steve bauer 214.914.1963 att cell texting also works... :>)

  12. hey brother of the RV trail and forever mentor of all things subie I have a petty question or two for ya... when ya get time.... I wonder how far back does the idea of "Charter membership" stop? You obviously ought to be that but, how far after that did I join? I posted a sorta timeline in a donation thread just now in the community chest forum.... BTW the board is a *FULLY OPOERATIONAL BATTLESTATION NOW LOL( Muhahahaha) (smirks, snorts) shade and sweetwater, steve

  13. the following is a cut-n-paste of the 'voice' to the idealist inside: It's about dang time! I want the option for a crate purchase of the Common Rail Diesel engine with a 5+ speed Dual Range 2WD/4WD HI/4WD Low standard tranny with rear end that have a final drive ratio options of 3.25, 3.5, 3.75, 3.9. IF I showed you the threads in the many subaru forums that were about diesel conversion for older cars you just might realize an untapped market. Meanwhile I'm having to resort to converting a VW TDI powerplant to work with the EA82 trannies for these light weight platforms. Simply put, power to weight ratio is king: hp/torque + final drive ratio + 5 bolt pattern 15" rims = options to show the world 65+ mpg(real world city) platforms are doable with current off the shelf materials! Now am I too much of an idealist to expect a real honest reply from you folks?
  14. FYI I will go look at my spare left in the parts cache. I saw the thread you posted that Moosens replied to... I don't want to step on moosens offer. I also just replied to someone elses "need" for the intake... I know I also have the little vacuum thingy somewhere....
