  1. Does someone know the proper method of removing the glovebox from the dash of a 95 Legacy? I have removed the installation screws and the box is still attached by the knock pins.
  2. All the fuses that blew I have replaced and still no dash illumination. Actually it's strange the dash illumination only works when the headlights are off, as soon as I turn them on I lose illume. There was a smell of burning plastic, so that is why I assumed I fried my switch. Do you know how to locate the rheostat? and assess it.
  3. I am not sure, a machanic told me that there is a switch mounted inside the dash as well?
  4. I own a 95 legacy wagon; I am interested to know the process of finding and replacing my dimmer switch. I believe that I have fried it in the process of installing my aftermarket stereo. If anyone has some info on this at all it would greatly assist my endeavor.
  5. If anyone has the 95 legacy wagon wiring diagram on their computer, it would be greatly appreciated if they could forward it to me at fchittick@rogers.com I am having a little trouble installing my aftermarket stereo. Thanks.
  6. I recently replaced my factory stereo in my 95 legacy Outback with an aftermarket one, a JVC. I had to spend some time figuring out the wiring but to little avail. The stereo works, sounds good however this is where the problems begin. Can't find the memory power supply so the clock and my presets are reset every time the car is turned off. Also, and here is my real problem, somehow I have managed to get my dash illumination to work only when my headlights are off. I have found I only need two of the four extra wires originally connected to the factory beast, to get power locks, lights and illumination to work. I discovered this through trial and error and blew a couple fuses in the process. my dimmer switch seems to not be working now. Is this likely the problem? and if so how hard and expensive is it to replace such switch?
