  1. Thats kind of what I figure at this point. The issue with the title was that it was an Idaho title, but sold in oregon, got registered in oregon so according to the oregon dmv it couldn't be considered stolen. I'm not too concerned about a few hundred dollars anymore, but was primarily just looking to find the car again for nostalgia really.
  2. I actually did just get a carfax recently, last record though was in 2007 in Newberg oregon, so my guess is at this point its just been sitting somewhere. I've been hoping that its sitting with a for sale sign somewhere and somebody might see it in passing (no luck searching on craigslist). Of course, who knows it could be scrapped by now too.
  3. Well for ************s and giggles why not another bump....for 2010
  4. I was always amazed that the EA82T's had no intercooler, blow off or bypass valve what so ever. It's really a miracle that those engine survived past 50k miles at all.
  5. I was just being a smartass.... I had no usefull information
  6. My first bike 77 Honda CB 550F (mostly sits these days) And my "new" bike 89 FZR 600 (with a few "changes")
  7. Funny thing is....I actually LIKE the EA82 series..... I've had two, a non turbo and a turbo. The non turbo got sold with 300k on it and pretty much no maintence while I owned it (100k, one timing belt, one set of valve cover gaskets). Got 28mpg till the day I sold it and never left me stranded. The turbo...well, that was an amazing car. A blast to drive (RX), burned oil like crazy, got 27mpg, abused it's entire life. It never broke down in a way that I couldn't fix it and get me home. Overheated it multiple times and it still never died. Now I have a legacy with the first gen EJ22, which is an even better engine. Rock solid, burns just as much oil, and has that beautiful subaru growl.
  8. With a welder they'll fit anything.
  9. Guess it's time to bump again for the late summer. We're still looking!
  10. Has to be, maybe we should start putting up some "lost car" flyers
  11. Well, i was thinking more out of courtesy than anything, i'm not going to shell out much, but I don't want to screw anyone. My roomate got $300 for it (what he got paid anyway) i figure it's only fair to give them that.
  12. Thats the one, but an old post. At that time my roomate owned it and had decided to sell it. he sold it a while later, but the kid that bought it didn't get the title because he apperently didn't have all the money, so my roomate held on to the title until he finished paying for it. Then apperently the kid sold it about a week later (with no title somehow) for twice as much and sorta disappeared. So, now we want to find out who bought it and see if they'll sell it back to us.
  13. So once upon a time I owned an 86 RX, and over time it got sold to my roomate, then someone else and now we don't know where it is. Supposedly it is somewhere in the portland/scappoose region and we're trying to track it down as we would like to get it back if we can. Here are some pictures of it, if you've seen it or know who has it I would love to know. When I had it it had half of a ford escort airbox, was missing the ru on the back (hence the screenname of suba) and a few other little issues. I'm trying to find it because we want to rebuild it into a proper rally vehicle, also I still somehow have the title, so whoever owns it, doesn't really own it. Thanks in advance!
  14. Have you checked all the fuses and especially the fusable links? Sounds like a loose connection, i had a fusable link that was loose enough to provide power to the dash but would kill the power when i tried to start the car. I'm not sure on the loyales, but i would think the computer is seperated from the starter power, even in the ignition, so it may crank even with the computer having no power. My GL had a seperate inline fuse for the computer (besides the fusebox) that could also cut power to the computer.
  15. well, my thinking was that the gasoline engine would provide all power for acceleration by keeping a fairly stock drivetrain, while the electric motors would take over at cruise speeds. At cruise the engine would be disengaged from the wheels and act as a generator to power the electrics. as far as how the electric motors link into the system i'm not sure how to do that yet.
