  1. i ate it all. 1700 bucks, primo work by todd at cvm. cumberland valley motors.
  2. uh hahaha i only posted cause for the past 3 years of reading these forums, i figured maybe someone here had a better addy than what was in the manual or on the web. like maybe a sub. dept (no pun intended) of customer relations. thanks for the responses. i would totally go for paying the labor if they reimbursed me for the 1100 usd part.
  3. so lets say i just had a power moonroof replaced on my 05 xtobw. also lets say this car was 7 months out of warranty and the dealer was unable to tell me why the roof got stuck in the open position. or get it to close. the car also may have less than 35k miles on it. lets also say i wanted to write a letter to SOA and plead my case, as it were. to what address would i write so the correct eyes read my letter? i will also explain ive participated in every soob questionairre they sent me as well as an online focus group of 300 soobie owners for almost 10 weeks and unpaid to boot. i have urged people to purchase soobs coz they are reliable and my power moonroof gets stuck open and i had to shell out over 1700usd for a new roof. the old motor works fine as the mechanic let me salvage it. he is a nice guy and has worked on my car for the past 3 years. him, i trust. but the more i think about, the more i think a roof with less than 500 openings and closings should not fail.
  4. i have the exact same car. i love it. yeah u wanna play, u gotta pay. if you dont want to pay then buy a non turbo. simple matter, actually. i dont really keep track of mpg, i just fill it up when its runs a bit low.
  5. sorry a bit off topic, but i drive an 05 xt obw and let me say i dont really mind paying for the car with premium gas. the extra oomph from the xt makes the perceived "pain at the pump" worth every penny. no one buys an xt or h6 for the gas mileage thats for sure.
  6. so im completely stopped in the right lane of a 3 lane road and waiting for the guy in front of me who stopped for some pedestrians when bam! (sorry, emeril) this guy plows into me. was quite a violent impact but his car got the worse of it. he was driving a 95 dodge intrepid. i suffered 3000 USd worth of damge to the rear, underside and exhaust system. NO frame damage. lucky i guess he was on the brakes as he impacted my totally stopped vehicle. my back was injured in a seperate, similar accident 6 years ago and this one has aggravated old problems and caused some new ones. got the car back after 2 weeks in the shop. accident was april 9 but i have been seeing alot of these soob v other vehicles threads so whats one more? lol b4 you say anything, ive been using that speed racer avatar for years now.
  7. id recommend them based on mine. individual situations vary, i wont badmouth a service department til i have need to. and at CVM, i havent ever needed to (yet)
  8. cumberland valley motors (CVM) in mechanicsburg is where i bought my car. never had any issues there with the service writers or the mechanics. they rock! YMMV
  9. 05 xt limited obw 5 eat. 24000 miles lets just say im a "spirited" driver...i get 20-22 highway maybe a bit more like 25 but 17-19 in town and all i run is 91 or better octane usually 93 from sunoco.
