  3. Spoke with the Auto Body guy this morning.. Hes a good guy and our family has been going to him for years so he was very helpful and i'm bring it back to him this afternoon. He said even with the car taped or coverspray can still get thru... They also run a detailing place but i want to make sure They get rid of the overspray.. Should they be using Clar bars? I dont want them to just try to buff it out and makes swirl marks all over the car... Any advise to make sure its fixed properly... Thanks for your help! -JON
  4. Just got my outback back today. Had a local body shop fix a hole on the front bumper from a tow hitch... I keep this car spot less and when i got it home and washed it.... Theres overspray on the entire car! The clear coat that was nice and smooth is ruff.. Even one side of the bumper they fixed is almost unfinished its so ruff. Anyone eles have an overspray problem... I'm calling the guy 1st thing in the morning to see how he's gonna fix this.
  5. Noticed some smoke under my 98 outback. A not too bad oil drip was causing it.. So i check the Oil Levels and noticed the Oil is a little above the "FULL" line on the dip stick. Could this cause an oil leak? I got my oil changed at a local garage... Thanks! -JON
  6. Today i hit a truck with a hitch on the back... The hole is the size of a trailer hitch ball right in the middle of my darn bumper.. Its a 98 outback... It looks like its all one peice that can come off and be replace.. Looking for options... I dont mind paying or doing it myself.. How much? if anyone eles has had it done... and Where can i buy the bumper if needed? Thanks so much for your help! -JON jdnphotography@gmail.com
  7. I have a 1998 subaru outback / limited legacy. I just took it to get a state inspection (PA) and I need to buy 4 new tires for it.. I was hoping to wait till the end of the summer but I have no choice.. I bought it used a year ago and it currently has a nice set of michelin tires on it… Does anyone recommend a decent tire to put on that’s not going to cost me a fortune... I defiantly do not want to put a set of cheap knock offs on it… Any suggestions would be great!!! THANKS
  8. Who has an FM cd changer???? And did you notice any sound quality difference?? I just ordered a 12 disc changer for my 98 outback... The only thing i will find annouying is that the antenna will always be up, when i played cds in my factory head unit (which broke) it would retract into the car... Thanks for everyones help.... Looking forward to being able to play cd's again! -JON
  9. Installing CD changer in 98 Outback The factory head unit I have is a single disc with tape and weather band... I want to add a 10 disk FM Modulator Cd Changer to my factory head unit.. is this easy enough to do myself… Since my factory unit does not have RCA plugs do I need to splice into the existing wires? Any help info would be great…
  10. You dont need to remove the head unit for an FM changer? that would be geat..... Let me know cause it will save alot of effort.. Does the changer just plug in somewhere to the back? THANKS
  11. i have a 98 outback limited legacy... I 'm going to hook up a 10 disk changer and i'm not quite sure how to get my head unit out to connect the new changer... The head unit i have is a single disc with tape and weather band... If anyone has any tips for getting the head unit out and cd changer installing tips id really appreciate it! 12. I have a 98 Outback Limited Legacy I was thinking that for what I can afford if possible I should get a 6 disk changer added to my factory head unit… The head unit I have is a CD / Tape / WB and says Panasonic on the tape flap…. SO my question is what CD changer will work for my head unit.. Other then a factory changer… My head unit has a disk change button on the 1st two radio presets… I would like something that works with my existing setup, but if need be I will get one that runs of your FM radio…. If you know what model changer will work please send me the info… Thanks for your help!!
  13. 98 Outback CD player Broke? PLEASE HELP! Hi everyone.. very glad I found this message board… I have a 98 Outback Limited Legacy.. Just yesterday my CD came out while it was playing for no reason.. Now when I put a CD in, it comes right back out after a few seconds?? I have no idea what to do or where to take it to get repaired… It’s the factory head unit with a single CD player… Everything else seems to work fine… Right now I think my only options would be to somehow fix it myself…or Replace it with another factory head unit, or just install a 6 disk changer and run it off the existing head unit… Also where would I purchase a replacement… I can not really afford to go to a dealer….. If you have any suggestions or options please send them my way! Thanks so Much!…
