I thought maybe it was an STI only thing (STi) i need to go look at it some more at first glance it seems like the old one had to be removed, it seems raised. Anyone know where to get the OEM one?

This "i" badge is on my 05 wrx, installed by the previous owner: What is this i badge? I can tell its from Japan, but what models does it come on there. Where can I find an original Subaru Badge, im not sure if I like this one. I've searched ebay and a few other websites, but I can't find just the original badge in the right size.

Whats the best way to get mp3 cds or an ipod into an 05 i have the 6 CD changer, but the last time i bought a cd was in Highschool, i had an mp3 cd player in my jeep that i could swap in. Any better options? Any one have a picture of a aftermarket stereo in the 05 ? What did you use to fill the double din hole?

Well i meant the keyless entry remotes, but i found the instructions on cars101.com worked. You just have to cycle the key in the ignition quickly because you have to remember you only have 15 seconds. I even used a keyless entry remote from a legacy (the dealer just gave it to me said it would work), so now i have an actual panic button that works and a trunk release button that does nothing on one of my remotes.

Can anyone help me with how to program a new key fob for my 05 WRX? I don't have an owners manual quite yet, and I understand its in there.

No sunroof so no spoiler is not a bad thing I guess. I plan on thoroughly checking out this cars underside for repairs in the unibody, and under the hood for obvious marks from being reassembled after an accident(big numbered markings on parts). I would not plan on paying nearly 22k for it I would ideally pay no more than 20, 21 is my limit I think, for that car i think. I am very wary of an older STI or WRX because i've seen the little rich kids that get these and beat on them. But this one could possibly be a good deal. What else should I specifically look for besides what I mentioned? Any tell tale signs of the engine/turbo being abused?

I've located a 05 WRX near my house that im going to go home and look at tomorrow. I called the dealer and talked to a salesguy who seems to know alot about the particular car. He said the previous owner was bad a driving a stick shift and had to have the clutch replaced early. After the clutch was replaced he insisted the transmission faulty, and the dealer replaced it under warranty. the guy still couldn't drive it so he traded it on a legacy with an AT. So supposedly the thing has a new transmission and clutch, with only 11k miles. Also it doesn't have a spoiler because the dealer said it was optional on the WRX, i thought it was standard in the 05 untill the TR came out in o6. Is this guy full of it? 22k for an 05 WRX with 11k miles? Im gonna go check it out tomorrow, check for ghetto wiring, take it for a drive etc. any thing else i should look for ?

Anything at all i should look for or be concerned about on this car? ? My girlfriend noticed a slight vibration at idle (I didn't notice it because my jeep vibrates lke crazy at all times) Cold this be a problem? how could i check?

I'm looking for an impreza, but i found a 2005 2.5i legacy outback, black Auto think it has the sub in it. 21000 miles and the guy siad he'll do it for $20000 plus tax (KBB $22905). He said it is a one owner and a repeat customer. It has a clean Carfax. What should i look for? does this sound like a good deal? What am i missing here. I'll be paying cash from a completely seperate loan.

Thank You for putting that all in one thread. Any possibility you could measure your ground clearance at the rockers and diffs? Your OBS looks good. Thats what I'm thinking of doing, except with an 05/06. (can we say voided warranty)

Thanks for the opinion, thats what i was looking for, yeah i finally noticed that the OBS only adds .5 in ground Clearence (2+ inches in height because of the crossbars on the roof). Would the OBS springs work better with forester struts, being stiffer and a bit taller?

Any one know what the major differences are between the Imprezza 2.5 Wagon and the Outback Sport wagon (2005-2006 model years)? Is it just alittle lift, how much? Also the Legacy OUtback Sedan, how much is it lifted over the regular legacy sedan?

I want to get a newer (03-05) Imprezza RS and lift it up 4 inches (im new to subarus, independant suspensions etc...) Would useing longer struts like you mention (whats a good model, a newer forester?) and a "body lift" (hah body lift on a unitbody design) method like allied armamant or someone like that (any suggestions) work? Is it better to keep the Impreza Springs to lessen the screwed up angles created by the longer suspension? Anybody done this on this new of an Impreza?

I currently own a 94 Jeep Wrangler, it is my first car and the only thing i've driven for any long peroid of time. I need a car that has a metal roof, A/C, lockable doors, mileage measured in mpg not gpm, a stereo i can hear on the highway w/o permanent hearing damage, etc... I'll be keeping the Jeep for recreational reasons and convertable days. I still want a DD that can handle snow and driveing over things (smaller things tho). I figure getting a car with some capabilities is better than getting some wussy SUV. Anyone have any experience adding a few inches of lift to a newer model Imprezza or Legacy? How bad of an idea is this? Anyone got pictures????
