  1. I need to either recore my radiator or get one in a Pic-A-Part, what models might interchange with my 86 Brat 4x4 4 speed no air? I live in the desert, so one with more rows might be of benifit.
  2. Thanks thats a lot of info.
  3. I have an 86 Brat that is getting poor milage and performance. I am considering an engine swap to a latter model, possibly fuel injected. What should I look for as far as a donor car for this swap? Something not to difficult to install, and the least expense. Or maybe I am overlooking something I could do to my engine?? Thanks for any help on this.
  4. I am thinking about doing an engine swap in my 86 Brat. It is getting real sluggish and not very good milage. It has 114,000 miles on it. It's caborated and pretty much stock. I would like to know what donor car would be the best choice, as far as least expense and problems to install. Or maybe I am overlooking something that could be done to my engine??? Thanks for any help.
  5. Manarius, since your only 18 years old what the hell would you know about driving habits? Your coment to this gentleman was uncalled for, use your head dude.
  6. Howdy Pard, Saw that you are in Laramie I grew up in Laramie, went to LSH grauated in 66. I am now living in Henderson Nevada and have become a sube owner. I would like to do a lift but haven't been able to find any 14" wheels. I have made posts and threads but not much response of any help. This conversion sounds pretty involved. With so many Sube owners in need of larger wheels why hasn't any wheel companies made them or imported them from down under? Not cost effective I guess. If you would like to contact me, maybe we know each other or have same friends, my e-mail is redfeather@cox.net
  7. I have come to my wits end trying to find 14" wheels for my 86 brat. Has any one tried swaping out the hubs and drums from a later model 5 bolt to a Brat? If so what years and models will fit?
  8. Henderson is a suburb of Las Vegas, you haven't told me much. but I have searched the yards here already, if thats what you are thinking. Please tell me where I can get these wheels, if you know. I also have friends in Denver and Pheonix looking for them. I have done many online searches and even made phone calls to Oregon. Thanks for any help you may offer, Lyle
  9. What is invovled? Is it possible to change front rotors and rear drums from a newer 5 bolt sube auto? Thanks for the fast reply and any help you can offer. Lyle e-mail redfeather@cox.net
  10. I live in Henderson, but I will pay shipping if need be. Thanks for the fast reply. Lyle e-mail redfeather@cox.net
  11. I'm fairly new to this sube stuff, just recently bought a real nice 86 Brat from southern California. Been wantin' to put a lift kit to it, but haven't been able to find any 14" wheels of any kind. With so many folks out there looking for these wheels, I wonder why Speedy Wheel in Australia doesn't send any of their after market 14" white spokes over here to their USA counter part? Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might get some pugs or what ever?
