  1. 8/17/04 update from Northwest SVX: now looking more like six from western WA and 1 from eastern WA.
  2. two weeks to go... at this time, i am aware of four fer certain from Northwest SVX ! three will be driving from western WA by convoy; one coming from eastern WA.
  3. glad to see the WCSS is back! not many of our members will probably do the rally-x, but will there be a static class for us SVXers?? http://www.nwsvx.com
  4. The Northwest SVX Tech Day and BBQ was postponed from December but has now been rescheduled for March. Find out more and ask questions here: http://www.nwsvx.com/techday2004.html Thx!
  5. my MY97OB (bought in MY00) came with the oe tweeter kit. this year i bought a new, never-installed subaru oe cd/tape/radio unit and pulled the tape/radio unit that came with the car. i'm no audiophile either, i just wanted cd capability but the improvement in sound was way more than i expected. the new head unit, with the tweeters & oe paper door speakers have come to life in a way i didn't think possible. ...but still the idea of a speaker swap has a certain flavor! i mean if it sounds this good with crappy oe speakers, well...
  6. naw, just wanted a different way of stating my location. "upper left corner" works too.
  7. well said. that has been entirely my experience with my MY94 LSi. had an opportunity to run with a Lotus Elan, Jaguar XJ8 and Honda S2000 on a tour this past September. I didn't have a full appreciation for what this car is capable of until that day. http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13299
  8. bought our '97 OB in 2000 with about 50K miles on the clock, now 108K and still loving it. it needed transfer clutch plates and a front crank seal at about 90K but other than that just normal PM. it's like a swiss army knife, does so many things and does 'em well. wouldn't be without it.
  9. NW SVX (http://www.nwsvx.com) is planning a Tech Day. This will be an all day meet where we can learn and share different mod, maintenence and repair techniques. If you own an SVX and live in the Pacific Northwest, bring your car, your mod list and your mod needs. Find out more at: http://www.nwsvx.com or http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/sho...;threadid=14338 thx!
  10. NW SVX (http://www.nwsvx.com) has been working on a list of events for the coming year. The list is of course subject to change, but it's a good representation of what we are planning. December 2003 – Tech Day & BBQ (Date subject to change) This will be an all day meet where we can learn and share different maintenence and repair techniques. And enjoy a potluck or BBQ. January 2004 – Awards “Banquet” This will hopefully become an annual dinner held every year at the end of December/beginning of January. We will recap the year and give out awards in various categories. Spring 2004 – Puget Sound Tour This will be a "mirror event" to the Fall Colors Tour. Same concept, just opposite time of year and a different locale. Summer 2004 – Camping Tour Back by popular demand, we will do a summer driving tour with an overnight stay at a campground. July 2004 – SVX Tour to PNWSEC West Coast Subaru Show August 2004 - Seafood Meet Another back-by-popular demand event, word is that we will be able to enjoy another seafood feast out at Dabob Bay. Sep/Oct 2004 – Fall Colors III The now famous event. Dec 2004/Jan 2005 – Awards Banquet Again, everything is subject to change, but some of these events are already in the works. Our new goal is to get events established as soon as possible so members have adequate time to plan for them. In addition to the above, there may or may not be other events, such as more tech days, small local get togethers, a joint event with another car club, etc. Questions or ides can be sent to events@nwsvx.com. Thx for helping us spread the word.
