  1. Thanks for the info; after reading the threads, they mentioned how to remove the switches but not if the bulbs can be changed without replacing the switch. I didn't see any threads to remove the center dash plastic wood. Any ideas?
  2. Changing the bulbs on the "cruise" and seat heater switch, can the bulb be replaced the same as my '91 Leg or did Subaru decide to change the switches so that it makes it easier for them to sell switches when the bulbs burn out? How do I also remove the plastic wood surrounding the stereo and HVAC controls?
  3. I would visit a local business that tints windows and ask them what they do to remove faded window tint. It couldn't hurt to ask.
  4. Just in case you didn't know. Subaru called that color "Misty Dawn" I know, it doesn't help. :-\ Are Subaru's rare in Michigan?
  5. When I got my Lego used, I had worn out copies. My local dealer was able to order an OEM key and when you squeeze the key head, a light comes on so you don't scratch the door or miss the ignition at night.
  6. I don't have a turbo and don't find myself driving at high speed to really benefit from rear ventilated discs. Do they provide a noticable benefit?
  7. A friend knew someone who worked on the older Subies and told me it will attach but I need to take the subwoofer cover off, and he said on the circuit board where the connector is attached will tell me what the different wires are for. He also said the subwoofer doesn't interact with the stereo and that the stereo "sees" it as just another speaker and that the amp affects the sub only.
  8. According to the seller on eBay, that was the vehicle it was removed from. Might have been an accessory available through a dealer.
  9. I don't have a wiring schematic, already searched for similar posts. Can I attach the OEM 80W subwoofer/amp to my OEM 80W Clarion? The wiring harness will not attach to the back of the stereo. There are five wires from the amp: red (fusable link) black stripe, black brown stripe, orange black stripe, gray brown stripe (looks like ground), purple brown stripe, white brown stripe. Sub part number EAB12140 (.
  10. I don't have any references for your swap but I've heard the twin turbo won't fit on left-hand drive cars because the drivers side turbo won't fit next to the master cylinder for the brake and the steering shaft. Am I wrong?
  11. According to my 1990's Legacy brochure, it listed them as 1st=3.545 2nd=2.111 3rd=1.448 4th=1.088 5th=0.871
  12. If we want to discuss the "quirks" of Subaru, ... The name, SUBARU! The seven star logo! I think the new Impreza (quirky name) was designed to attract new buyers by having its appearance appear similiar to the other Asian cars, they didn't design it for the mid-20 boy racers who like their cars appearance to resemble a bull dog chewing on a wasp, or the infamous bug-eyes. Where did Subaru come up with the quirky name Forester anyway? The objective of ALL car manufacturers is to sell cars and Subies offer mechanical items the others don't or charge much more extra (VW with 4motion and Audi with quattro) Please forgive me for mentioning the germans in the presence of all that is Holy that is Subaru.
  13. The car that was hit is an Opel Omega in Europe and a Vauxhaull Omega in the UK. Current Saturns are becoming rebadged GM Europe cars.
  14. However, if the fuel filter is clogged, and the fuel from the filter to the injectors has evaporated, injector cleaner might remove some of the dirt in the filter but the engine may still be delayed because of lack of fuel.
