  1. well the picture doesn't show it very well but it was a very steep downhill slope and my front right wheel ended up in a divet from when someone else tried to go up the same hill i was going down. it was surprising just how far i got (as far as the samari was willing to go:banana: )
  2. they are a previously loved set of silverstone rally s-505 (14/55 13) that may actually have more years on the road then i do!!! but hey its better then what i had at the brooklyn bash
  3. for you ed, it wouldn't be easier. because of where you live it would actually be quite a bit of a longer drive. but to answer your question...there are a limited number of cars that can take the port angeles ferry which typically means, for me anyways, a much shorter wait. from my experience last year at mnt washington your better off with something like gravel tires, if you have a softer compound tire it will likely get cut up...but that was last year it may be better now whether or not we have classes will depend on the number of cars that are confirmed going. for the most part we run four classes. stock 2wd stock 4wd and then the equivalent prepped classes which you get into just by having decently aggressive tread. no real big changes from what you guy's do just lower numbers. oh and while i'm thinking of it...button things down!!! we don't have that much of an issue with noise but if something doesn't look safe, it wont run.
  4. this event will be sanctioned by rally pacific motorsports and CARS there will be a car available for rent, maybe a second...but will only be through private parties. cost of the event at the moment will be $50 cnd per day camping will be available on the mountain very near the event sight... on a personal note....i will finally have my own set of gravel tires
  5. sorry to do a cut and past on this one but my friend jay has just such a way with words i felt it only best to use his exact ones Edge of the Rock RallyX, Mount Washington Well, at least one RallyX should be happening this year on Mount Washington. The lot has been booked and the planning is progressing for the weekend of September 22/23. We have permission this year to camp on the mountain as well, so we can keep the costs down and have a good party. Entry fee is still be worked out, but at least you can book the weekend and get ready to come out and play. I will keep you all posted. jay on a personal note, the drive is easy enough that i should be able to see a good number of you confirmed and going that the cost should be well worth the effort.and for those of you that are able, its much much easier to get though the border crossing by taking the port angeles ferry then it is to drive through the piece arch or truck crossing.
  6. really sorry i missed it, but it looks like other then the up coming event at mnt washington i'm done for the year...:-\
  7. the issue with having an open front diff is when it gets slick the one of the front wheels gets all the power and just spins giving it essentially rwd characteristics. so yes the front sld would make it a little harder to turn but it allows you to exit strait and that makes for faster runs.
  8. ^^ in that case mine will go boom any time 4000rpm is what she sees in day to day driving. i frequent the redline during events
  9. hey zapar, i meant to ask you...what kept you from taking my car over 4000rpm?
  10. Qman actually let me take the car out for a fun run...just enough of everything to be fun without being scary when you screw up:headbang:
  11. don't know where to get them but they mount to either the frame rails or the pumper and tow hooks. i thought it was only possible to get them for the ea81 then made to fit, or have them custom made?
  12. all i did was leave my cats on and just mounted a pipe where the muffler used to be, cost a whole whopping $10. due note that performance was not my goal, i just didn't have any money and didn't want CO2 in my car
  13. ps, for once my car wasn't the oldest one at an event. (mine is the silver subie)
  14. you know, it was kinda funny...even the cd based map program i have (streets and trips) got confused when i said brooklyn washington. basically its a small town with out all the things that i take for granted. ie. no pay phones, no shopping center, no gas station, not even a corner store... what it does have (and understand that i was only there for 56hours) is one classic tavern...and a strong sense of community, and i mean this in the nicest way, but, the town is so small there isn't room for anything else. Ryan.
  15. um, these pictures were taken brooklyn,washington,...earth
  16. i think my car has a blank for the legacy style vertical cup holder. now i admit i've never seen a cup holder one of these cars but still...i have a blank beside the radio....unless its for something else?
  17. just wondering if anyone had any pictures from brooklyn bash 2007? thanks
