  1. My chiltons manual tells me that to pull off my intake to change the gaskets and i need to pull off all of my vacuum lines, fuel lines, distributor and lots of other stuff.. But my friend told me i could pull the intake off enough to change the gaskets without disconnecting all of the fuel and vaccuum lines.. anyone have any info for me and if this is possible Thanks
  2. wont idle period when cold and when warm idle's low and high....some kind of idle sensor??? thankyou David
  3. thankyou can anyone tell me where to check for engine codes on this model subaru. thanks again
  4. anymore help would be greatly appreciated guys
  5. i just put a new distributor on the day that it died.....what is a crank angle sensor and what does it do??? thanks
  6. I have a 92 loyale that just died on me one day. From what i could figure out and from the sound the engine was making when i turned it over i figured out it was timing belts. When i tore down my engine my timing belts looked to be alright although one was kind of loose, after I replaced those looked there I did a compression test on my engine. My 2 rear cylinders had low compression at around 80 lbs. I put a little regular oil in my cylinders and got my compression up to about 130 lbs. My engine started right up. I did a tune up, distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires. My subaru was really running good at this point so i drove it around for awhile. then while i was on the gas it just died all at once, no sputtering or anything. I immedietly thought it was spark and probably in relation to the tune up kit i just put on. My car has spark tho and it is getting fuel out of my fuel filter. So now im trying to figure out why it wont run. If i had too low of compression in my 2 rear cylinders wouldnt my front cylinders still fire??? also is there a brain box that controls my fuel injection???and if there was something wrong with my brainbox would that leave me with spark, fuel, and a dead engine?? thankyou much David i also tried pouring fuel into my throttle body but..no luck
