  1. Hey guys, I'm having a heck of a time with the timing belt on my outback 2.5 dohc i'v read a lot of posts and replies here and the End Wrench article. Most everyone is concerned abou the cam gears. Is it possible to get the crank shaft 180 out with all the timing marks lined up. Ivbe just done the timing belt because the key way ate most of the way round the crank pully, bent all but the A/c drive pullys, and caused me general troubleshooting headaches. The engine was running poorly but still running, and after belt change I cant even get it to start.
  2. thanks guys,to answer your questions the car has 97000 miles,I did have a check engine light codes indicated 1,2,3 cyl misfire but cleaning the egr valve took care of that, now the a/t temp light flashes 16 times when i start the car. have been reading thru all posts on this sight as well as talking to subaru rep. believe have narrowed down to mass air flow sens. again thanks to everyone on this site. as isaid i am new to the joy that is SUBARU so i will stay with this sight to see if i can help the way you guys helped me.
