  1. what i ultimately wanna do is swap an EJ22 from a legacy, get me up to 130 hp. that would really help. but i need to find me one first.
  2. except for the fact that im currently getting about 20-24 mpg at best with my engine now so it wouldnt really matter
  3. Ubaroo: I havent done any offraoding yet, my car has been stock since i got it. i live in colorado so i have many options when it comes to offroading. GD: but if i can get the turbo engine for near nothing it will give me at least a little more something to get up and down these mountains and who knows i might stumble onto a bigger turbo Phiz: i have no clue, the people say its a 1978 but it has the dual range tranny so im not sure.
  4. I have a 1992 Loyale and love every bit of it, a couple of opportunities have been presented to me recently the first being a 1970s or 1980s brat (it has the dual range but also has the rounded headlights so im confused), i want to buy it and fix it up with a lift kit as well as a more powerful engine which brings me to my second opportunity which is a 1984 turbo GL wagon that i can possibly get for free. I would take the engine out of that and put it in either my loyale or the brat if i buy it. what are your thoughts on this?
  5. Thanks man, turns out i live about 30 miles from denver. The thought is nice too with the autos, my loyale is a manual though but ill check it out. i think i am looking for the engine out of a 1995 impreza (2.2 L 135 - 145 HP) add a 4 inch lift and i think ill be set. Justin
  6. If you could get me a contact to one of these engines that would be so cool. Thanks
  7. Sorry to all yes it is a 4G63 not ford. Stumpy, where can i find an EJ engine cheap? Under $800? And if so ill take that info. How much of a pain would it be to marry the G463 with my tranny? what would i need? Along those lines, when you say EJ is there a specific engine (car) impreza, outback, etc? thanks for all your help. And i have decided to stick with the 4 cyl because my car will still be my daily driver. If anyone is interested, i have found a way to get very very cheap and sometimes even free stuff (i.e. Car audio, speakers ((experimental stuff)), after market wheels((Toyota will be our only option)) and tires.) if anyone wants some info just message me.
  8. yes it wasnt a very popular engine. and i cant remmeber what my friend said it went in i think one of the cars he mentioned was an eagle something or rather. its an inline four. and they werent very popular. he has one in his 1989dodge colt. he says he can get my one for about $800. Thats why i would get one of them instead of a V6. They are really cheap. Plus more power. Theyre a turbo so it put out about 135-140 hp. Sooo Much better than 90.
  9. Are the loyales a transaxle? I want to drop in a Ford G63 motor in it. Is this possible?
