  1. Hello everyone. Unfortunately I don't have access to my lathe anymore, since my company was purchased and our jobs ultimately got moved to North Carolina. (I am in B.c. Canada). I might look into having a local shop do a run of them if there is still interest, but it may require deposits since I will have heavy upfont costs. Some people have asked me to provide drawings so they can have them made elsewhere. Sorry, but no. I don't want to just give my design away. Hope everyone is happy with their product, I assume so since I haven't heard any complaints .
  2. hey guys, disappearing Matt is back Leeroy, yours are in the mail, i PM'd you everyone else, i will tot up a list and consider another run... i have realised I am pretty bad at internet business. After taking a highway cruise in Ivans Brat, we had smooth ride at 55mph, but a vibration did develop at 65, and at 80mph it was getting ... more significant. Since the ea81s have no centering lip on the hub, they may require a dialing in (literally ) with a dial indicator for maximum performance. I will make a video when i fix Ivans. Its pretty easy. Sorry Brat People, they were designed for a EA82 hub, what can i say. They still work.
  3. hey everyone on the list. Sorry about the non communication (i wont bore you with the details) , but the blanks are in my hands and i will be working on them tonight and tomorrow. Shipping should be next week, once they are truly done i will contact you all about payment. I need to do things on my own schedule, thats why i dont take deposits
  4. hi everyone I finally pinned down the waterjet today. he will be delivering 'some' of the 28 pcs that i need this week, so i will be running some on friday. Friday is the only day i have available to use the machine. Theres a chance he can find the rest of the material this week, but im not going to count on it. Thanks for your patience. I helped ivan mount up his '80 brat this weekend, and noticed some improvements that i can make on your sets. Also, since these were designed on a ea82, the older brat is a bit of a trick to get centered properly. I will post this info when i write it up. http--,,--//
  5. allright, ordering is CLOSED, thank you to the following for getting on board. sull 88hatchmonster KRM91 Scoobybrat epix leeroy bratman18 Waterjet couldnt do it this week, so gods willing i will be running these next friday. I will PM all on the list to confirm, but i am currently assuming that you're all still good to go. If you have changed your mind, please let me know!
  6. bringing this up to the top again. i added a couple of details about mounting and pressing. One week left if anyone else wants a set. the list as of today is sull 88hatchmonster KRM91 Scoobybrat epix leeroy thanks guys, i will be in touch soon.
  7. ok heres the new list: sull 88hatchmonster KRM91 Scoobybrat epix leeroy The deadline to state your interest will be Wednesday March 19. Thats 2 weeks from today. i will update this post as new people get in. I am going to contact my water jet guy and request that he pencil me in for March 20. Hopefully that will cut down my wait time for material. Thanks everyone! *edit to make the Date correct*
  8. ok, i will add you to the new list once i give a few more days for the originals to reply. so far ive heard back from ftwneon, and scoobybrat, with sull also being a new interest. still waiting for some others.
  9. hey whats up everyone. Havent looked at my PM's yet, just saying hi cuz ivan told me to get after it. I will contact everyone ( theres six msgs that i see) in order of msg arrival to see whats going on. Got a promotion at work that changed my routine alot, but things are smoothing out now. sorry if anyones pissed.

I'm waiting on replies from okvaa, and seventythree. Turbone, looks like a pair is yours - i'll PM you
  13. it is still a pathfinder stud, just for a new one, not an old junkyard pathfinder. glad they cancelled it for you. you guys get much better deals on studs in the 'states. best canadian deal i could find was almost 4$ a piece, haha
  14. *edit* oops, everyones on it already http://www.dormanproducts.com/p-8096-610-320.aspx?year=1996&make=Nissan&model=Pathfinder&parttype=Wheel%20Stud%2FBolt
  15. forgot to address this. i should have kept my mouth shut until the bill was paid... the 'off the cuff' verbal quote i got was 30% cheaper than the actual bill. i ended up paying exactly the same price to these guys for the thinner material as i would have for the thicker stuff at the other shop. but I would have had to wait 6 weeks to get them. so ya... no price reduction. i am continuing to update the first post with 'official' information - specs, price, etc.
  16. check your inbox original customers... yes i made 20 i dont know for sure whos in or out. i'm waiting for replies right now, just sent the letter. the waiting list is : seventythree, then turbone, then okvaa.
  17. machining is done! just need to get the M12 bolts and contact everyone. i updated the first post with all current info.
  18. picked up the blanks today, should be running them tomorrow aft... thanks turbone
  19. thanks Ed, the ankle is still weirdly swollen but feeling pretty good. havent heard from the water jet guy, but will call him tomorrow morning. This was todays hurdle... http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/yy202/libtechsplit/the%20super%20sweet%20subaru%20GL/2013-09-23150910_zps3ed62fab.jpg ( for some reason the 'image' button doesnt work anymore? ) even though "the precious" was swinging in the air today, i may still be on track for this weekend.. Seventythree - after the original long sufferers say yea or nay, there will probably be a set of four left over.
  20. looks rad whats the master plan for mounting the front of the spring? if you just stick a bolt through it, wont the axle try to twist it off when it articulates? or will the bushing be good enough to absorb that twist... *went back thru the pics* ok so nvmd it is bolted thru... i suppose this unit isnt going to have crazy rock crawler axle travel anyway, so maybe it doesnt matter so much.
  21. laws... i went looking on some of the american websites that offer these for sale, and couldnt find any mention of a certificate provided... the first on the search list even goes so far as to expressly state that they offer NO WARRANTY due to the nature of the product. http://adaptitusa.com/termsofsale.aspx
  22. hi everyone. confirming my material order this morning. unfortunately, only 1 inch plate is available, meaning that the actual offset will be the same as the prototype at .8 inches. on the bright side, this will bring down the cost some.
  23. so lets say target rpm is 5000, target retard is 6 degrees (just for calculations sake) 5000 / 60 = 83.333 rev per second 360 degrees x 83.333 = 29,999.999 deg / second (im going with 30 000) 30 000 / 1000 = 30 degrees / millisecond so .1 millisecond = 3 degrees therefore delay should be .2 milliseconds ( i dont know the proper unit to state that with.) make sense? thats much smaller than i was guessing. At 3000 rpm, the retard would be 3.6 degrees. so in reality the delay should probably be somewhere between .1 and .2 milliseconds
  24. Best answer ever... thank you for explaining this. now i need some components... so i need to determine how many degrees of delay i get per millisecond, at a chosen rpm... then build the circuit for that # . I also need to determine what kind of signal is being output by the ecu. or should i go past the ignitor as well, and delay the signal right in front of the coils? and consequently figure out that signal instead. since i need two individual circuits, i guess i shouldnt try to make them variable, since id probably never get them set the same. hopefully the older ecu is dumb enough that it will keep everything else functioning even if its angry about the coil feedback. unless of course its used to control other things - that might be a problem.
