  1. Hey everyone. So iam looking to lower my 89 RX a little. Iam wondering what kind of springs I should use. I'd rather get shorter springs w diff rates then cut my stock ones! Anybody have any ideas what car I could get springs off of?
  2. Hey guys there is the opening Rallycross of the season on the 25th for the oregon rally group. Thats this sunday, I'am racin my RX in the Rally modified class. Its taking place at the washing county fairgrounds in Hillsboro. So come out and race your ************.
  3. Sorry for the confusion. I meant in the Tranny itself. The Rear output shaft has play in it. This is with the tranny out of the car. So no driveshaft play. Sorry and thanks. Correction: This is [HTi] Johnson, using Savage's computer.
  4. NO, its not the Ram's Head brat. It's Savage's, I believe we got the angle fairly level, maybe a slight angle. Johnson did the fabrication. How neccesary are the disk brakes?
  5. Hells yea thats my baby. Still needs more work though. I fired it up today, started right up and ran like a champ. Its almost done though.
  6. Dude deffinatly keep ur hatch and lift it. lifted hatches are the ************. I'am currently lifting a Gen one brat. Its getting the entire motor and drivline and suspensions out of that hatch u see in the pic.
  7. cause there not AWD. my buddy there wont shut up about my RWD RX. There fun in RWD, I've been drifting that thing like crazy. I'ts not like its never going back to AWD. Soobs rock teh noobs.
  8. I used the EA81 engine cross member with the complete front suspension. the EA81 engine Xmember has a taper, it gets wider in the front. but in the back its the same with as the EA71. So we just offset the holes in the front of the lift block to accomadate. scense the track is now wider we just droped the strut tower streight off at the same angle so the camber is perfect. now I just have to leingthen the Leading rods, to reach the tranny x member. Where using the EA71 x member because they mount totaly differently from the EA81.
  9. The crush rating on these pices is in the tons. Its just a custom steel fab lift from [HTi]. Where fabin it up our selves. This is 4 inches, Technicly you could go as high as you want. But keep in mind that The engine, tranny, Driveshaft and rear diff are droping however far you decide to go. I think that 6 inches would be max, the rest is going to be suspension. Because this is a body lift you have to consider everything that now has to stretch to reach where it goes. And with suspension lift you will run into problems the higher you go. with The Axels the angle will increase the more the control arm drops. Not good. Soobs rock teh noobs.
  10. Yea that day was a lot of fun. As u can see, my hatch is winning no beauty contests. That is the result of some fearless wheeling. What we call balls out tearing ************ up.
  11. Yea, I'am lost too, I was looking for Subaru stuff. Not Toyota stuff. They make good trucks but there just that, trucks. I hate to break it to u guies but Toyota's aint got ************ on soobs. I you want to talk about Toyota's got to a Yota board. Soobs rock teh noobs.
  12. You should'nt have to tear down the engine to add stuff. the pulse air system should bolt right up to the back of the heads and I think the EGR is the same. the smog pump should have a bracket to see where it bolts to on your cali motor. if there's anything iam missing then tell me. I think thats all. But smog is overratted dude. ************em. pass your test then take it all off. Where running all smog discoed. to hell with that Bull************. keep us posted. Soobs rock teh noobs.
  13. Your best bet is run in 4Lo about 20 psi like my buddy said there. Its all momentum dude. Keep up teh speed dont be afraid to hammer down, teh soobs can handle it. 4 and 5 grand no problem, somtimes 6 or 7 you will tear that place a new *********************. just dont make too many hard turns You will sand a bead for sure. Done it plenty of times. It dosent get any better then seeing teh looks on peoples faces when you come flying across teh dunes in a soob. Especially teh dudes rollin in teh lifted trucks They ************ themselves when a (Stock) Soob goes better then there trucks. Soobs rock teh noobs.
  14. I think mine was D. I would be replacing HG's about every 2 months until I tried teh Fel Pro permatorques. Even then It held up for about 6 months. It started acting up on teh way to WCSS then started eating water and burning oil shortly there after. then it was toast.
