  1. Hello, did a search but no luck. I just recieved my new metal oil seperator plate for 97OBW 2.5 I noticed the plate came with new allen head bolts rather than philips head, I assume this is so that the bolts can be properly torqued? Also I noticed one of the bolts has Loctite on it and is a different part number than the others. There is also an arrow stamped in the new metal plate that points to one of the bolt holes. Here are my questions: What is the torque for the bolts? What is the tightening sequence? Where does the bolt with Loctite go? (in the hole with the arrow?) Thanks again, Sam
  2. Thanks for the speedy reply guys. Legacy777 great sealant chart thanks.
  3. I need to seal the oil seperator plate on my 97 OBW 2.5 I see people here throw the term around "Anerobic sealant" How about a brand name? i.e 3 Bond, Permatex Grey, etc. What is the best to use here I don't want to do this job again. (yes I am updating to the metal plate) What is easiest, removing the engine or the transmission to do this job? Thanks, Sam
  4. Matt, thanks so much for the info. I read some other posts that mention there was a missprint on the torque in the FSM for the cam cap bolts, do you know if the spec listed in your reference is updated? Thanks, Sam
  5. I know this question has poped up in the past and I did do a search but never found and truly solid answers. Can anyone tell me the torque and the tightening sequence for the camshaft cap bolts on a 1997 2.5 OBW. Thanks.
