  1. Hi Jerry, I may be wrong about this, and I will check my boxes tonight, but I think you sold me a Justy engine a couple years ago off of Ebay. How about $30 Just let me know how much shipping is going to be. Matthew
  2. I have a 91 EFI Justy with a blown coil. Since a replacement costs as much as the car, is there any other Subarus with a compatible coil. My junkyard doesn't seem to be stocked with Justys anymore. Matthew
  3. If the transmission is still good, then it isn't a bad deal. If the trans is going bad, you may want to get going on a search for a 5 speed trans and related gear. For me if it was rust free 3 door, I would take it. But I have more than enough spares to make up for a bad CVT transmission. Matthew
  4. I'll go out and measure one of my steelies for center hole dimensions and back spacing. For winter duty I run Nokian NSW's in front and old Hakkapelettia NC 10's in the rear. I simply don't get stuck with these tires. Matthew
  5. I actually bought it off Ebay. I actually paid the 75 bucks for the engine and trans sections of the Justy manual from Subaru (there are 6 sections all together). I had to buy the manual because my Chilton's had so much incomplete information. Then I found the incomplete set on ebay and got it. I think I paid 10 bucks for the other 2 books. Chilton's are decent enough for beginners, but if you really want the nuts and bolts, get the factory manual. I even have one for my LR Discovery II. Matthew
  6. It should read "Do Not Open" instead of "Do Not Cut" Matthew
  7. Nothing like those systems. In a Justy the rear wheels are driven from the front diff. There is no center diff per se. You will find this out when you try to make a turn with the 4wd on pavement. It gives a true 50/50 F/R split. It also means that you must be pointing in a straight line when you hit that button.
  8. Willing to trade for a good 90 to 94 3-door body? I need a road trip to N.C.! I have to get my new house done before I can work on any project car. Hopefully in the summer I can start the build of the motor. I am still toying with the idea of either a 323 GTX transmission or a Toyota All-trac unit. And in case you were wondering you can ship a Justy block UPS. It weighs 69 pounds. Matthew Bos
  9. Pages out of the manual... And yes, one day I'll learn how to use my scanner correctly without breaking the binding on the manual. Sorry for the delay, I hope this helps.
  10. I just bought one of Ebay for $109. Not a bad deal. It even came with oil cooling lines which I am trying hard to figure out how to use.
  11. Thanks for the pro-Justy *************** slap I'll look it up when I get home.
  12. Yup, that a Junkers engine on top. But I am trying to find more info on the bottom engine. The opposed boxer is cool for diesels because two cylinders fire at the same time, distributing the ignition forces evenly through the case. The current Subaru boxer would probably go through engine mounts like nobody's busines in diesel mode. I just find it facinating.
  13. Both were made for airplanes. The top one was for a high-altitude bomber. I have a friend with an 85-foot ocean tug. That has a serious opposed diesel in it. Very cool beans.
