  1. Maybe someone else just needs to be the one working on it? Maybe there's nothing wrong with the Subie's you had.
  2. Us Subie owners are pretty much fearless, huh? How about another question...how much $$$ do you think I could get for her, as she is? 225K miles...etc.....nice looking, but does have some problems.
  3. Well. I did it about 2 weeks ago. Decided to rally on a dirt/gravel road. Was going about 40 there was a jump and I jumped it....when I came down, I couldn't turn very well, and it was a corner....so I hit the dirt bank/ditch thing, and went up it. The car was fine. I put it in 4WD and got out easily. Started right up, etc. Well then I noticed my hub cap had popped off.... I looked at the front right tired (passenger side) and noticed it looked wayyy messed up. I had to drive it home - about 30 miles. My dad says it needs a new lower control arm. http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k263/USFattay/Subaru/ What do you guys think?
  4. I'm thinking just get a new alternator. I'm not the best person to ask, but in my 91 Loyale, I revved it up way too high doing broadies in a snowy parking lot. Car died, and when I turned it back on, all dash lights wanted to stay on. Was def the alternator. Got a new one, and fixed.
  5. Can someone tell me if there is a reason behind the name of the EA series engines and the number that follows? Like the EJ series makes sense. EJ18 is 1.8, EJ20 is 2.0, etc. But what is the EA81 and EA82 and EAwhateverthehellelsethereis ? Any reasoning or was it just random by some japanese dude? lol
  6. Not a Subaru, but my friend had a battery from like a 79 Camaro that we replaced last week.
  7. In Selah/Ellensburg/Yakima area maybe? Lime Green, has a body kit, hood scoop, hyrdaulics, and its lime green!
  8. Last night I converted my 91 Loyale from R12 to R134. Put in 3 bottles of R134....it got colder, but it's not COLD. Do you think I just need more bottles of R134, or what?
  9. I apprecaite the reply 91Loyale, but could you be more specific. I'm not that advanced in the whole car stuff yet, heh. What car would have a stalk that's not push button? A GL maybe? Idk. What car would I look for at the junk yard to grab the shifter stalk off of? And what do you mean about swapping a dual range? That went way over my head.
  10. Well do you know of a car that has a shifter stalk that would fit my transmission? Or where I could get one?
  11. Anyone ever take this out of the shifter, and mount it say, on the dash board? Is it possible? Im looking to do it so I can get a cool shift knob
  12. Heh. Make sure you're using the WSIWYG editor for posting. Then upload the image file somewhere else (photobucket, imageshack, etc). Then, when posting a reply, click the little box with the mountain on it (if you hover over it, it says "Insert Image") it will pop up a little box asking for the URL to the image. Put it in there, click ok, and you've got a image in a thread!
  13. Are you using the WSIWYG editor? If so, just host the pictures somewhere else, then use "Insert Image" and put the link :-D
  14. Heh, well I still appreciate it Too bad you're all the way in CT, or else I'd probably see you at the West Coast Subaru Show!
  15. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH BUCKY92 I LOVE USMB!!!
  16. Right...but I kinda need a quick answer. I just want to know all the fuses are for. There's gotta be a diagram some where. I found one, but it's not complete. my image sucks forget it/CENTER] See how it ends after it tells what the first 10 are...
  17. Anyone have a diagram telling me what each fuse is for? For my 91 Subaru Loyale 4WD 5SPD manual. I lost the cover for my fuse box. Im trying to wire these LED lights to a switch, and then trying to figure out what fuse gets power all the time, etc.
  18. lol, well, Yeah I guess so. Except, prom sucked. Gotta be honest. I might not still have my date, but I'll always have my subie...
  19. I had more fun with my car then I did with my date @ Prom.
  20. Battery cables are kinda old. Real old. I think they are the originals...I asked my dad and he said that shouldn't affect it though.
