  1. Last time I had my radiator out I hosed out the fins and was amazed at the amount of crap that came out. I'm not sure if it made a big cooling difference or not but it definately couldn't hurt.
  2. I have a 92 Loyale 5sp with 175/70/13 tires. It gets around 25 city 33 highway. I also have a 87 gl10 turbo automatic that has brand new 185/80/13. The 92 loyale calls for a 165 according to the stamp on the drivers door. The 87 gl10 calls for a 185. Do you think if I rob the new 185's off the gl10 and put them on the loyale it will kill my gas milage? Can you go bigger than stock and still get optimum fuel milage, and if so how much bigger?
  3. Yeah, I connected those. Mines a 87 and there under the dash near the fuses. I noticed there was an led under there that would blink three times with the green connectors connected.
  4. I just checked my timing and it was way off, adanced almost all the way. So I backed it off to 20 what the sticker on the hood says and now it has no power. It seemed to run fine before but was getting terrible milage (15-16mpg). Now with it set at 20 I can barely reach highway speeds. What does this mean? I suspect it is due for timing belts could that have something to do with it? Also in an effort to improve the milage I change the O2 sensor, cleaned the MAF, and put in a new air filter as suggested. No improvement. I was hoping that would solve it, but my last fill up was 15.8 OUCH!
  5. I should have mentioned that my driving is pretty gramdma-ish. It does have some ticking, I don't know if that effects mileage. I notice with that a/t at 65 mph it's running at about 3500 rpm. It's like it needs another gear. I can see where a 5 sp would do better. Probably a dumb question but what's a MAF and a TPS? Thanks for the advice!
  6. Hi, I recently got a gl 10 turbo wagon, and am getting around 16 mpg on freeway driving. Yeah it's got an a/t and 202k miles but I thought it should do better than that. Any ideas what I should do? Thanks.
