Hello all , i dont know much about cars just have a question, is it ok to remove the gray box with the four screws off the maf and put it back. I thought that is how you clean the maf sensor, i did it and cleaned that gray box thing with the five solder bits and connected it all up again.car works fine but just wondering if the grey box should not be removed at all. 97 outback, car was stalling, mechanic said there were no codes and did nothing to figure it out, told him might be maf because that is what google told me and he told me people on line dont know spoob

My 97 outback (160,000 kilometers) has a humming noise or like a feedback noise coming from the air cleaner element or around that area in engine bay, just wondering if that is normal Thanks

is the driveshaft and the cv the same thing because i had my rear driveshafts changed a few months ago but iv got a rattle coming from the back left wheel and mechanic says its my cv, i think he forgot he changed my drive shaft, my car is a 95 legacy wagon, auto transmission if transmission makes a difference i don't have a clue thanks

I went back to the mechanic that flushed my oil and had also changed my driveshafts (didn't mention that before) he told me solenoid. He said he had a good second hand one and will put it in (he recons he changed 3 solenoids) i have now been back twice and my car is still doing the same thing. He said the rattling noise i get coming from the back is my cv. I had paid him $400 AUD now i am going to someone else to scan my car because i feel ripped off and to see if he did anything at all.(im in Australia so my car has done 230 000 kilometers not miles)

95 Legecy, 235 000 km, Auto, binding on slow turns also like a rattle on take off and turns, clunking from drive to park, when switch off engine slight roll even with hand break up then next time i turn on engine PWR light flashes about 16 or so times. Had oil flushed was ok for a couple of weeks then same thing. One guy told me need to reco trans another says he can get some good oil and it will stop another says he will change my solenoids, im not good with cars its doing my head in PLEASE give me advise, Thanks

Mine is really bad first thing in the morning and also when AC is on. Its good to know im not the only one, was thinking of selling the car but besides it vibrating its a good car. WISH I KNEW HOW TO FIX IT

I have a subaru legacy 95 wagon, when car is stoped in drive or reverse it vibrates/shakes when in park or N its ok what could it be my mechanic says he cant do nothing about it :-\
