  1. My 1st car had 5% tint on the whole car, and I can't tell you how many times I was followed/stopped for no reason. It wasn't worth it, I got my car searched on average once a month. I eventually took it off cause it wasn't worth all the hastle. I just realized the original post was from july, so all this advice is probably a little too late. haha
  2. Pep Boys sells window tint adhesive removal. Check that out before you go too nuts with glass cleaner, people seem to have good results from that stuff. They keep it right next to the window tint. Good luck! Jason
  3. I Got 20% on all of my windows, and proffesionally done it is very easy to see out while driving, but seeing in is difficult. I have tinted cars in the past, and could never get it as nice as one of those computer cutting tint places. On average I have been charged around $200, But if it's a new car, it is definetly worth it. You get a lifetime warranty, the computer cuts all the tint out exactly to the measurements of your car, all in all a very classy way to go. For an old hatch or somthing like that I would say do it yourself but the car is very new so, that's what I have done/would do, in your situation. Good luck!!!! Jason.
  4. Hey, I was wondering if anyone can help me fix this problem that no one can figure out. Here's the low down- it's a 99 outback wagon, with a 95 impreza motor swapped. Automatic trans, 145k, check engine light keeps coming on. When scanned the egr valve code is coming up. One of the times a friend looked at it for me, he said he cleaned the egr valve, there was a carbon build up, and cleared the check engine light. It was fine for a lil, came back on, and drives kinda rough now. Idles irradically(Not terrible, but not as smooth) drives sluggish(Up hill is a crawl unless u floor it then the rpms suddenly sky rocket and eventually switches gears) vibration on the highway (Had all tires re-balanced, and had rack alighned, did nothing). If anyone wants to gimme some ideas on what to look for, I'd appreciate it. Im also looking to sell this in a couple weeks if anyones interested. Thanks alot.
  5. Haha, will do! I can see it already "Wow, why did u do that, I bet u bottom out going into driveways......"Etc It's gonna be great.
  6. And will either of these work do u think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8006174101 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EIBACH-PRO-KIT-LOWERING-SPRINGS-97-98-SUBARU-LEGACY-NEW_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33582QQitemZ8006192333QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW I dont want to have to change the mounts, or do any kind of retro fitting, I want somthing that will go right in.Thanks
  7. I know everyones into giving their cars lifts on here, and its the wrong group of people to ask this question to, but I'm looking for an aftermarket coil spring kit for lowering my 99 outback. I'm not going offroading in it, and only drive in a city, no back country roads. So all I'm looking for is a better, sleaker look, and improved handling. Now for the questions. If anyone has done this before I need to double check some part numbers. It is not too clear whether these will fit my year, none come up for 99, they start at 2000, are their any differences? The Eibach part number I have is 7712140, and the intrax/B&G number I got is 861019. The second number I listed is for a 02 legacy gt, on another board it was said that these will fit as well, and give it a lower drop. Now if the legacy gt is already a few inches lower, shouldnt I be able to use the stock coils from one of them to give it a couple inch drop?Any Serious answers would be much appreciated.Thank u in advance.
  8. Im looking into buying the factory sub for my 99 outback. My questions are, how loud, and good is it. Compared to aftermarket underseat subs how does it stack up. Does it really make a difference between the limited model outback and the regular(Ebay auction says for limited outback only). And if the cd changer is from a 04 wrx will the underseat sub from a 99 outback plug in and if I got the one for the 04 wrx will it mount up correctly. And is it possible to install 1 under each seat, somehow splicing the wiring harnesses???Any info is much appreciated, haha, I know alot of questions But I would appreciate any serious answers I could get, Im on the fence with alot of sub related things, so this will help make my mind up. Thank u for ur time.
  9. Yeah I was just gonna say Svxpert had a brand new one in a box at his place.
  10. Thanks, Yeah its the smaller one, looks like it mounts on the bar underneath the bumper? Its the bar that raps forward on the front, and it came with a seperate bar, but it looks the same as the one already on the car. Im a little stumped
  11. Hey, is there step by step instructions posted anywhere, on installing a pushbar? I cant figure it out, I sanded, painted, and got it all ready, I just have to install it now. Instructions with pictures would be helpful, I know once I see it I'll feel like an ********************* for not figuring it out, but I just cant see it right now, THanks a lot.
  12. Hey my ex-girlfriend is having problems with her 92 svx touring edition. I just replaced the battery and alternater for her, and left to fix is her power steering, and a wierd electrical problem, She said some of her lights stay on when the car is off. Someone tried to break into it a few weeks ago, and pryed under the door handle, I dont know if this has anything to do with it. As far as her powersteering, I figured it would just be a pump, but someone told her to try to replace an O-ring?It's filled to the top with power steering fluid, I do not see how an o-ring would help, but I could be wrong, Let me know if anyone can help me out, thanks alot,
