  1. Just got home from a 2 week trip to visit the Family... Gotta love the Aussie cars eh?! **NOTE, ALL of these pics were taken within a 2 block area in about 30 minutes!** I think they breed Subies down there in Victoria!! Saw no end of Tribeca, OBW, OBS, WRX, Imprezas, a number of Brumbys, and a couple of EA82 wagons.
  2. Which I'm due for and going to attack in a couple of weeks... Going on vacation tomorrow so no additional miles on the engine before the adjustment!
  3. There's an old KZ650 sitting in the woods near me with a set of 4 Mikuni carbs on it... Maybe I should yank them and try to re-jet them a bit bigger for my Brat
  4. If they came in 15" I'd totally rock them with a set of 27" TSL Swampers on my Brat! :headbang: Sure I'd probably paint them so the teddy bear was wearing some form of militia camo gear but that's beside the point
  5. Timken, F-A-G, SKF, General Bearing Co., Shuster Corp, Pacific International Bearing, Pacific Bearing in Illinois, ABI Industries, Rexnord Industries, Schaeffler Group USA, Inc., Champion Bearings, Inc., Accurate Bushing Co., Kingsbury, Inc.... the list goes on... Ones I've found for Subie apps are General Bearing Co. Timken, F-A-G, and SKF... they're kinda the big names out there
  6. Looks about right to me!! Although I'll most likely be  and under the Red Dragon trying to bleed the darn brakes while you're happy as larry burning Roxy down with a misguided propane torch!
  7. Photobucket FTW http://www.photobucket.com
  8. I had a set of Uniroyal Liberators on my old chevy pickup... +1 for tough as nails!! Got them at WalMart too. They're actually made by Michelin if that's any help? Mykingcrab has a set of 27" TSL Swampers on his lifted RX and he's reported them as being good on the highway... They look freaking TRICK too!!
  9. I've got a propane torch for a reason bro! +1 for the heat an crank routine... probably will still be worth chasing the threads after just to be sure. Worst case I'm sure you could cut that off and get Micky to weld a new boss on there for another O2 sensor??
  10. 10 miles? one of these under each wheel and you'll be set...
  11. alrighty... Bungee on the battery - yes Owner unsure if TB's were done at 105,000. they've not had the car that long. (Selling because they bought an '07 Corolla last year and the OBW's been sitting since) Underbody rust = minimal to none Rust on rotors, car has been sitting for about 5 months but they've cleaned up pretty well now after my test drive and not pitted. Mid frequency howl starts up around 55-60mph... Wheel bearings? maybe the caliper dragging a little due to the corrosion build up? No black spots in the coolant. CEL on, code checks to O2 Sensor (confirmed by me) also showing a 0301(??) misfire bank 1 etc. No clunky from the trans when shifted through gears manually, fluid's a good color. No clunky over bumps etc. Wiring is good, no undue corrosion or water in places it shouldn't be due to a flood Going to CarFAX it to see about the title history
  12. I'm going to look at an outback in about 2 hours here's the specs, '97 Legacy Outback Limited, fully loaded, EJ25, Auto Trans, 125,000 miles... Seller reports no issues with the HG's. Power steering rack, pump, and fluid completely replaced in July, upstream oxygen sensor may need to be replaced and it has been leaking some oil from the valve cover gaskets. Windshield has a crack in it. What else should I be looking at other than the HG's, tire wear & Torque Bind??
  13. Locking center caps so I can stash my goodies under them??
  14. After Mykingcrab's MAMMOTH effort on Roxy ( http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=85753 ) He had no need anymore for the Uber rare Euro 14's that he was running in the past so they found a new home on Bratilla! A HUGE thank-you to my main man Mykingcrab! You're a Scholar and a Gentleman and you'd damn well better not be driving while reading this
  15. 9004's are for wimps... You should be running nothing but Hella 500's
  16. :brow: AWESOME DUDE!! Sorry I couldn't help out more but you've done a great job! :headbang:
  17. K, I'll check that when I get a chance I would but it's in my head! Ummm... Lets see, ground connection goes to ground on the strut tower, switching means is coming from the wire that used to go to the starter (output from the key switch) +12V is, well, +12V, and the output goes to the terminal on the back of the starter... trust me, I've wired enough relays to know that's in right I probably can wire a lamp in there one way or another
  18. I finally got around to putting a relay into my starting circuit so I didn't have to click the key about 20 times before she started (other times I'd just jump from the battery to the back of the starter and not even attempt to crank with the key) Long story short, she's still not cranking over when I turn the key, it's back to the *turn key*.... nothing... *turn key*.... nothing... *turn key*.... nothing... *turn key*.... crank type dealio... Should I be looking to the key switch now? I know the rest of the circuit is OK because I've been able to crank it direct from the battery and also through the relay direct from the battery... (1982 Brat, Craptachi Carbed EA81, 4Spd S/R)
  19. Well Stainless is what we have laying around but we can to carbon steel as well, heck, we could do Al if you really wanted, or Titanium
  20. Bucky, if you're able to get a good set of dimensions off the frame rails and send it to me I'll get a set waterjet cut out of stainless and bent on the brake for you... Would hate to see Rocky just sittin' Cost shouldn't be too bad, I can probably find some left over metal sitting 'round the shop here.
  21. The only problems I've had with my non-PS '82 Brat on 13's is trying to turn in a parking lot while on the cell phone (I know, I shouldn't be talking and driving!!) You would probably either want PS or massive forearms if/when you do a lift though!
  22. Yeah, I'm going to bleed the brakes on the Red Dragon tomorrow morning, try to find the radiator leak, and then once she's on the road I'm going to put Bratilla up in the garage, remove the interior and start fresh! (I'll probably leave the dash in though cos the fire-wall ain't rusty
