Hmmm... $3.00 for a brand new relay, $???? To replace your vehicle when it burns down due to a wiring short? I run relays on all my additional lights... Consider it cheap insurance!

I got 400' of wire for Christmas (ain't my wife grand!!) a whole mess of crimp terminals, wire strippers, wire cutters, and a multimeter... I reckon we can figure SOMETHING out mykingcrab!! -
There's apparantly guys running the ER27 in sandrails. From what I've been told they got rid of the ECU, installed a Chevy 6cyl distributor, ditched the MPFI and ran a Holley 4bbl carb (presumably on custom intake) I've not seen it in person but the guy that was telling me about it knows his stuff!

Ruger P89, Wifey's got a nickel plate S&W 4" barreled Model 10-8 in 38.spl... I'd like a .45 but ammo budget is kinda tight these days

Awesome!! I was under my Brat yesterday with some new gaskets, a new stud, a 7/16-14 tap and new locking nut... The Brat actually has some pickup now not to mention the exhaust sound is coming from the right place (behind the back wheels) instead of the wrong place (in front of the front wheels) Swinging the tap handle under there wasn't as easy as I had anticipated, the oil pan got in the way but I worked with it and got things squared away good and proper now! -
Lets just say this jacked around with my handling just a little!

Turbo muffler recomendations
cobcob replied to dave valiant's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Thrush/Dynomax Mini Turbo muffler (O'Reilly Auto Parts P/N 17702) should run you about $26.00 It's got a 2" inlet/outlet which should work just fine with your stock exhaust pipe. -
Mad Max Brat? Mellow's Tailgate

Impromptu Pre-Christmas meet with MyKingCrab and Mellow Yellow... Did a bit of dirt roading and then snapped a few pics at the local waterfall... MyKingCrab has some vids that I'll post up as soon as I can Don't know too many other meets where the Brats outnumber the other vehicles MyKingCrab's RX thru the river Mellow Yellow's got a lil bit more flair Up on the falls

Hmmm... Check your local O'Reilly Auto parts, ask them for a Thrush/Dynomax Mini Turbo muffler (O'Reilly P/N 17702) should run you about $26.00 If that's not your speed then glasspacks (cherry bomb) can be had for around the same price or even a little cheaper. I've got one of the mini turbos in my garage waiting for me to get a chance to put it on... HOPEFULLY sometime before new years but that's not a certainty!

My latest find, #32 **edit** **New pics on page 3***
cobcob replied to ezapar's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate all of you up in the PNW?? Nice find! I don't think I've EVER seen a hatch on the road down here in MO at all... -
How about 7/16x14? My local auto parts didn't have any 7/16x20 studs in stock at all so I got the 7/16x14 instead. Seems like the course thread might do a bit better in the soft Aluminium...

Anyone else making the statement out there? Course I was born in '82 so they apply just as well to me as they do to the vehicle.

removing antifreeze residue from a windshield
cobcob replied to dominical1's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Gasoline and a match? Isopropyl will most likely do it... watch out with any degreasers you use, they will probably stain the dash if they drip on it
