  1. Found a replacement at NAPA. They have an assortment in a case.
  2. What size the little retainer clip that holds the cable that controls the temperature on the heater control on a '97 legacy? The small one for the cable not the larger one at the end of the cable. Don't ask....:-\ Thanks.
  3. I think i'm going to give it a shot on my own. i don't need the hassle or wait buy letting them do it. i changed the bulbs in it a year ago, so i at least don't have to disconnect the cable.
  4. Had my dash repaired due to a unauthorized radio removal. Now the lights under the control buttons are sometimes on and sometimes off. When the lights work so do the buttons. When the lights don't light the vents won't switch from say dash vents to defrost or floor heater. Could this just be a loose wire somewhere when the body shop reassembled the dash? They did screw up and connected the wires under the dash that caused my CEL to flash. Do the lights and the movement of the vents go together or is it just a coincidence? Hopefully it's something simple. 97 legacy
  5. My left hand air vent's contol wheel is jambed, it won't budge. Does it just pop out with a pull so i can see what's up with it. The mirror contols are connected to it also. 97 legacy
  6. it also tells me why my cigarette lighter socket stayed on with the ignition off.
  7. Long story short. Paasenger window smashed. Radio yanked out. Love loiving outside the crappiest city in Pennsylvania. Insurance paid to fix window and torn dash. Just picked the car back up and the CEL is flashing. Used the search button but didn't find anything. What can cause this? Does something need to be reset?
  8. You have a chimney? How many miles to a cord of wood do you get?
  9. You'd have to cut away a bunch of the frame to make room for an impact gun. I barely had room for my fingers
  10. Unhooked my battery over night to reset the CEL. How much driving before i know the O2 replacement works? In other words how long for the CEL to go back on if it wasn't the problem?
  11. Boy, wasn't that just the biggest PITA thing to change. Getting it out was cake compared to try to get the new sensor threaded into place. No room, large fingers. Finally after 10 min it caught and turned right in. A quick tightening, rout the wire and connect... done. Don't feel like doing that again any time soon. Thanks for the advice.
  12. Looks like it takes a 22mm wrench for the sensor. Do i use a regular open end wrench. Is shorter or longer better? Chilton book says to run the engine a couple minutes to expand the metal and loosen the fit. Any other advise? 97 legacy 2.2
