  1. This tip worked excellent, loosed that pulley bolt in one small pop of the starter. I was alone and wasn't sure which way the crank would turn...found out that you want to brace on the subframe so that the extended bar is held from moving "down" on the left hand side (as opposed to held from moving up which I found it is wrong! - I'm sure a better mechanic could have visualized the lefty loosey / righty tighty in this case, but I went with the trial and error approach!). I'm back in business...this 92 legacy just turned 320,000 miles when the belt broke (I'm sure this isn't the first time). Might not need another timinig belt until we get to 400,000! PW
