Well, my legacy has finally bit the dust after 15 years of faithful service (thanks to this board/internet)...really got my moneys worth!!! Last week, a speeding mack truck hit it at an intersection and my subaru spun out at least 2 times and was totalled....luckily I walked out to the astonishment of the spectators with not even a bruise. The subaru was not recogizable though...had to crawl out of the window...all the doors would not open. Anyhow these 1990 subarus are fantastic in this type of crashes. I really miss my subaru and would like to get another one for abou 5000-7000$...any recommendations as to the best year/model to get. I like wagons. The only thing I hated about the legacy was the torque bind and air suspension.

I was working on the brakes on the front driver side with the scissor jack stand from the trunk. BOOM! the car just fell right on the concrete. I was lucky I was not under there...but still got a bump on the head...whew!! Saw my life pass by and got really petrified since I often do work under the car as well. Anyhow, when I am going slow I hear some "rubbing" sound coming from that front end. When I took a look, everything looks ok. The disc brakes seem to be a bit more tight on one spot as I rotate the wheel...but that is the extent. Any suggestions what is causing this rubbing noise?

Was it hard to replace the gasket? Was it tough getting the nuts off?...rusted? What would you rate the level of difficulty? I just don't want to do further damage. -
I was driving fine on the highway at 60m/hour and all of a sudden I get loss of power and rough engine...I thought it was bad gas so I put it on second gear (auto) and accelerated...however, it did not fix the problem. I pulled over and found that 1 spark plug wire came off the spark plug??!!! How in heaven's name did this happen?? I didn't even touch the engine in the last 5 years.

No electrical connectors that I can see without taking it out. Again, I am pretty sure the air hose coming from the top of the deck of cards is coming from the dryer. Anyhow, I am happy now with my suspension...although I have to "self-inflate" with my bike compressor....but no big deal since it has not leaked any air so far and somebody mentioned it will last for about 9 months...before I pump the struts again. I could live with that.
