Hard Starting below 10degrees
blk4est replied to blk4est's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
No problem. I have to do the same thing but after I keep it running I have a fast idle. I'm going out today to check the connections first. Daniel -

Offhand do you know of a cheaper CTS sensor than autozone ($100). Online is fine. I was looking at partsbin but it said it was turbo only I assume they work across different car lines. Daniel -

Sorry I left out some stuff i guess I was just being to general. Its a 90 loyale tbi. I don't have a place to plug in, or a garage. two votes for the coolant temp sensor. How come? Just trying to learn. -
I've searched the forums and it seems that the throttle body might be the issue I'm dealing with, but I wanted to get everyones opinion from my exact situation. The car has trouble starting when it dips below 10 degrees, it will turn over so it seems to me to be a fuel issue. After I've started it and it has warmed up the car will start fine, but on first start up I have to gas it with the key pretty hard to get the car to fire up. Any ideas of what I can do to make this start easier since I don't want to be stranded someday. Would cleaning out the throttle body be the answer? or a new fuel filter? seafoam in tank? Thanks in advance guys. daniel

Does anyone know if the part number for the ecu on a loyale ea82 has to be exactly the same as the stock one? The reason I ask I'm looking to pick up an extra one from someone on this forum but the last 2 numbers of the ecu are off from mine 22611 394 and 22611 392. Any idea. thanks

Fuel Pump and Relay location ea82
blk4est replied to blk4est's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
The distributor turns. I swear I can't get a voltage off the fuel pump. The fuse is good. Is there another pump in the tank? What else should I be looking for. Daniel -

I'm getting no voltage at the fuel pump so if someone could point me to the relay I would appreciate it. Daniel -

thanks how bout the relay. I really appreciate this. Daniel -
Sorry hate to be my first post but I'm sitting at a coffee shop and my subie doesn't start, I have my multimeter with me but I'm without a manual and am trying to locate the fuel pump, as well as the fuel pump relay so that I can test to see if the reason it won't start (90 loyale ea82) seems fuel related. I have 12.8 volts on the battery and the cracking voltage is 11.3v. Daniel
